✅️Representatives of Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) have participated in an awareness-raising event organized by the State Migration Service (SMS).

Rashad Aliyev, Head of the Center for International Students Affairs, and Rahila Khalilova, Senior Specialist of the Center, attended the meeting held at the State Migration Service on the migration issues of international students. Ismail Abdullayev, Chief of the Main Migration Processes Regulation Department of SMS and 3rd rank State Migration Service Counselor, along with other officials, addressed the event. It was emphasized that annual meetings with representatives of higher education institutions yield effective results in regulating migration processes in education and conducting mutual exchanges of ideas. During the meeting, changes in migration legislation, the Highly Qualified Migrant Program and its portal capabilities—especially regarding the use of this system by international faculty members—were discussed. Additionally, recommendations were provided on utilizing electronic application options with SMS more widely, organizing documentation efficiently, and preparing accurate and comprehensive data. It was also noted that residence permit cards are planned to be issued in an electronic format in the near future. Furthermore, a presentation on the "Highly Qualified Migrant Program" and its portal capabilities was delivered within the framework of the meeting.Moreover, Sima Yagubova, Chairperson of the Public Council, spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of legal awareness. She pointed out the events organized for BAAU's international students during the 2025/2026 academic year as a successful example in this regard.The event concluded with interactive discussions and a Q&A session.

🔰An Info Session on the Orhun Exchange Program Held at Baku Eurasian University

✅️An informative seminar on the Orhun Exchange Program was organized for students at Baku Eurasian University.
The main purpose of the event was to inform students about the Orhun Exchange Program, implemented among higher education institutions that are members of the Turkic Universities Union (TURKUNIB), operating within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, to explain the academic and cultural opportunities created by the program, and to provide detailed information about the participation requirements.

✅️During the seminar-informative session, our specialist, Ulvi Hasanov, provided students with detailed information about the Orhun Exchange Program. The presentation covered the purpose behind the establishment of the Orhun Exchange Program, the countries it includes, the benefits it offers to students, application procedures, selection criteria, and the opportunities provided by host universities during the exchange period.

✅️The students were also informed about the documents required for application, the main requirements related to academic performance, and the stages of the selection process.

✅️At the end of the event, students’ questions were answered, and recommendations were provided regarding the next steps and application procedure for students interested in participating in the program.

✅️It was emphasized during the event that Baku Eurasian University is a member of the Turkic Universities Union, and that this membership creates new international exchange opportunities for students. Students were informed about the opportunity to study at member universities located in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the framework of the program.

An educational seminar dedicated to the legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Baku Eurasian University!

📅 On May 6, 2026, an educational seminar dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was organized at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU).

🌍 Initiated by the Foreign Students' Affairs Center and organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, the main goal of the seminar was to instill the history of Azerbaijan's statehood in foreign students and introduce them to the rich legacy of the Great Leader.

📈 At the event, local undergraduate students majoring in International Relations — Rahman Ibrahimov, Mujgan Suleymanova, Madina Taraqulova, Ibrahim Muradzade, Zahra Behbudova, Laman Azizova, and Gulustan Huseynova — made presentations with rich visual materials for foreign students studying in various courses.

💡 Organized in an interactive format, the presentations provided detailed information about Heydar Aliyev's life path, his exceptional role in building modern Azerbaijan, his successful foreign policy, and his reforms in the field of science and education.

🤝 The seminar, met with great interest by foreign students, served to strengthen cultural exchange and friendly relations between both local and foreign students. At the end, the questions of interest to the participants were answered, and the event concluded with a commemorative photo session.

Labor Fair Organized for Students and Alumni at the University

✅ Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), in collaboration with the Baku Regional Employment Branch of the State Employment Agency (SEA), organized a labor fair for the university’s students and alumni.
✅ The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence to honor the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
✅ Delivering the opening speech, the Rector of BAAU, Associate Professor Sayavush Gasimov, spoke about the importance of training personnel in accordance with modern labor market requirements. He emphasized the significance of initiatives aimed at expanding employment opportunities for students and graduates. The Rector noted that cooperation between the university, state institutions, and employers contributes significantly to the professional development of young people.
✅ Subsequently, Saleh Hasanov, Head of the Department for Work with Social Partners at the SEA, addressed the audience, stating that labor fairs play a vital role in integrating unemployed and job-seeking individuals into the labor market. He pointed out that such events create favorable conditions for establishing direct links between employers and candidates, as well as enabling young people to obtain prompt information about vacancies. He mentioned that the primary goal of organizing the labor fair is to increase the employment opportunities of unemployed and job-seeking persons, support their integration into the labor market, and facilitate direct contact with employers.
✅ Approximately 43 different enterprises participated in the fair with nearly 150 vacancies. Participants were provided with detailed information regarding job responsibilities, working conditions, career development opportunities, and required skills. At the same time, several enterprises conducted initial interviews, accepted candidates' CVs, and carried out registrations for future stages.

🌍 Broadening Horizons: Strategic International Collaboration

Under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Sevda Rzayeva, a comprehensive coordination meeting was held today with the International Relations Department and the Center for Work with Foreign Students.

While these strategic briefings are a staple of our weekly operations, we are pleased to highlight our global efforts today. During the meeting, we extensively discussed the expansion of global exchange programs, the enhancement of support services and resources for our foreign students, and the evaluation of new international academic partnerships. Our goal remains to provide a truly global academic environment and ensure a seamless experience for every student within our international community.

📝 Our University participated in the "Study in Azerbaijan" international education fair in Kazakhstan.

✅ The opening ceremony of the "Study in Azerbaijan" international education fair of Azerbaijani higher education institutions was held at the Farabi Hub Innovation Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The delegation led by the Rector of Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), Associate Professor Sayavush Gasimov, is participating in the fair, which continues through April 7-8, 2026.
✅ Organized by the initiative of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the fair aimed to promote the country's higher education opportunities internationally, attract foreign students to study in Azerbaijan, and expand cooperation between higher education institutions. Within the framework of the exhibition, educational programs, innovative approaches, and international partnership opportunities of BAAU and other Azerbaijani universities were demonstrated.
✅ Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev, and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of higher education, scientific research, and innovation between the two countries. Detailed information on grants, academic mobility, dual degree programs, and admission requirements is also provided at the fair.
✅ BAAU stood out at the fair with its stand and active participation. Visitors and guests approached our university's stand to obtain detailed information about BAAU, its educational programs, material and technical capabilities, and the conditions created for international students.
✅ During the fair, the BAAU delegation held meetings with the heads of various Kazakh higher education institutions and shared detailed information about the university's teaching capabilities, degree programs, and international cooperation directions.
