The admission process for participants will consist of 2 stages:

Dear Chemical Engineers 👩‍🔬 👨‍🔬

In our engaging session on "Onshore Oil and Gas Processing," participants delved into the fundamentals of the oil and gas industry and its everyday impact. 🌍 The session provided an introductory overview of key topics such as the importance of cleaning oil pipes, the basics of heat exchangers, the principles behind the separation process, and essential sand jetting techniques. 🛢

With Nigar Naghiyeva's guidance, attendees gained a foundational understanding of these concepts. To support their learning, an enjoyable quiz with Kahoot quiz was held, allowing everyone to engage and strengthen their understanding in a fun and interactive way. ✅

We are happy to present you the second speaker of our course, in collaboration between SPE METU and SPE ASOIU, Greener Future: Bridging Borders! Azad Mammadov will be delivering the lecture on Electrical Energy on the 19th of March. ⚡️

👤 About our speaker:
Azad Mammadov has 7 years of work experience in the field of renewable energy, especially in wind and solar PV electric stations.
Mr. Mammadov earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at ASOIU in 2011, worked in NaxEnergetika for 3.5 years, first as an installation master, then consultant. In 2016, Azad Mammadov has served as chief engineer Solar PV Electric Station for 3 years, and was a director of the Solar PV plant of Nakhchivan in 2019-2022, and since October 2022, he serves as a Chief Electrical Engineer in Dongfang Electric Corporation.

On May 25th, Gunduz Mahmudov guided us through the captivating topic of "Casing and Casing Design"💡

During the session, Gunduz Mahmudov emphasized the crucial role of casing in well construction and explored the various types of casings, including conductor, surface, intermediate, production, and liner. The discussion delved into the purposes, characteristics, and specifications of each casing type, providing us with a comprehensive understanding.
We also learned the determination of casing setting depths, casing design considerations, and the data required for casing design under different load cases. The session covered important aspects such as casing running procedures and cementing operations, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the topic📚

We are immensely grateful to Gunduz Mahmudov for sharing his expertise and helping us expand our knowledge in this vital area of the industry🙌

On May 21st, we had the privilege of learning from Gunduz Mahmudov, who delved into the captivating topic of "Classification of Drilling Bits and Drilling Bit Selection" 💡

Gunduz Mahmudov expertly covered various aspects during the session, including the importance of selecting the right drilling bit, its impact on drilling performance and efficiency, different types of bits and their design, applications, and limitations, factors influencing bit selection and performance evaluation, and the significance of IADC codes in bit selection📚

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Gunduz Mahmudov for sharing his expertise and helping us deepen our knowledge in this vital area of the industry🙏

On May 14th, Gunduz Mahmudov has a session with the topic "Rig Components".

Gunduz Mahmudov expertly explored various aspects of rig components, including the hoisting system, rotary system, mud circulation system, well control, and well monitoring. The session provided invaluable insights into the intricate workings of drilling rigs.
