We might be a day late, but we still want to make sure that everyone was aware that it was National Volunteer Week last week! 🤩

Thank you to every volunteer who gives their time, heart and energy to make our school community the best it can be!

If we didn't have amazing volunteers for our events, our kids wouldn't be able to enjoy the great times we have at the School Disco, Movie Under the Stars, Colour Runs or even the upcoming Yeronga State School Spectacular Fete! 🤯

Let's also not forget the great work volunteers do for our Tuckshop and Uniform shop! Their invaluable help allows our shops to feel supported and operate as much as they do.

We appreciate our volunteers, and we celebrate our volunteers today and every day. 💙

Yeronga State School P&C Trivia Night is BACK — and this year we're going glam.

🎟️ NIGHT AT THE MOVIES 🎟️
Saturday 13 June | Yeronga State School Hall

Dress as your favourite movie character, actor, director — anything cinema goes. The more dramatic, the better. 🍿

🕠 Gates open 5:30pm — and trust us, you want to be there from the start. Last year the pre-mingling was one of the best parts of the night. Come early, set up your table, grab a drink and soak it all in.
🎯 Trivia kicks off 7:00pm
🎵 Live music & dance floor to follow
🌮 My Latino Fusion food truck on site all night

💰 Tickets are $25 per person

💗 Mother’s Day Stall reminder 💗

🎁Calling for helpers – final wrapping session🎁
If you’re free Thursday morning after school drop-off, please meet us in the Curiosity Centre for a final wrapping session. No experience needed—just bring yourself and stay for as little or as long as you can.

Donations due Thursday: A huge thank you to everyone who has already contributed—your generosity makes this stall possible. We still need more small gifts (around $5) to stock the tables.

• Drop a small gift into your child’s classroom (e.g. candles, self-care items, chocolates).

Prep–Year 5 families: Please remember to send $3 cash with your child this Friday so they can purchase a gift at the Mother’s Day Stall.

Our much-loved Mother's Day Stall is just around the corner, giving students the chance to choose a small gift for their mum or special person💖

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀:
💐 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱: Please support the stall by donating via the 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽 or dropping a 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 (𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 $𝟱) (e.g. candles, self-care items, chocolate) into your child’s classroom.

Prep to Year 5 families:

Mother’s Day Stall – Thursday 8 May 💖

It’s that time of year to help our kids celebrate someone special.

The P&C Mother’s Day Stall is coming up and it’s a beautiful opportunity for students to choose a thoughtful gift for Mum (or someone special in their life) and surprise them on the day.

How it works:
Each gift is $3 and students will visit the stall with their class to choose something special.

You can send cash with your child or pay via Flexischools.

To make the stall as special as possible, we are also calling for donations.

If you’re able to contribute, we’d love items such as:
• candles
• chocolates
• self-care items
• small gifts

Anything you’d be happy to receive yourself. You are also welcomed to donate via flexischools.

This is always such a special event for the kids — they absolutely love choosing their own gifts and surprising their loved ones.

Let’s make it another beautiful Mother’s Day for our school community 💐
