Yea Wetlands

Yea Wetlands Yea's Best Kept Secret - Is now a major tourism attraction! More info at: www.yeawetlands.com.au The Goulburn Valley Highway splits the area in two.

The seasonal Yea Wetlands are situated on 32 ha of crown land floodplain between two branches of the unregulated Yea River. The Northern Wetlands have been progressively developed over the past 12 years and now boast a 30m cable suspension bridge, 2.5 km of walking track, raised walkways, bird hides, interpretive signs, picnic tables and a free electric BBQ. While the Committee has a long term vis

The Centre was an initiative of the Yea Wetlands Committee with funding being provided by the Yea Wetlands Trust, and State Government (Melbourne Water, Office of Water (DSE) and Regional Development Victoria).

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped over the Garden Expo weekend. We sold 6 large containers of soup and 39 dozen scones. We couldn't do it without the support of the customers, so thanks everyone who came into the kiosk and bought our food.

As a Rotary event, the Garden Expo was visited by our District 9790 Governor Emma Davies and together with Community Leader Sharon Fox, dropped into the Wetlands kitchen to help. Thanks Emma and Sharon for your support. Much appreciated.

This Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September, the Rotary Club of Yea has their annual Garden Expo at the Yea Saleyards from 9am to 3pm. The Wetlands Cafe will again be in operation at the kiosk towards the back of the site, offering delicious home made soups (all gluten free and some vegetarian) plus Devonshire Teas with fresh scones made on site.
Everyone in the kiosk is a volunteer and monies raised will support w**d management in the Yea Wetlands.

Come find us for a sit down in a warm spot and help support the Yea Wetlands. Cash or card options available.
