The BBE class will be judged at the commencement of the show, alongside our property classes, and will be assessed by an additional judge. We encourage all eligible exhibitors to participate and look forward to seeing outstanding entries in this prestigious new class.
🏆The Rossdhu Devine Trans-Tasman Legacy Trophy🏆
The Rossdhu Devine Trans-Tasman Legacy Trophy honours the life and legacy of Tania Colquhoun, whose dedication to the Boston Terrier breed left a lasting impact across both New Zealand and Australia.
Under the Rossdhu Devine prefix, Tania was deeply committed to breeding sound, healthy Boston Terriers of true type and quality. Her dogs were not only successful in the show ring, but were also consistently recognised and respected by judges worldwide. She believed strongly in breeding with integrity, always prioritising health, temperament, and correct structure, while generously supporting and encouraging others within the breed community.
This lithograph holds special significance. Originally donated by the Boston Terrier Club of NSW to the Boston Terrier Club in New Zealand, it was awarded for Best in Show and won by Tania and her daughter Nicole with one of their homebred bi***es.
Following Tania’s passing, the artwork has been returned to Australia by her family , a meaningful full-circle moment that reflects the enduring connection between Boston Terrier breeders across the Tasman. Her passion for Boston Terriers, commitment to education, and lifelong pursuit of well-bred, healthy dogs stand as a testament to her dedication to the breed. Tania’s ability to foster friendships abroad, together with her ongoing support of the Australian Boston Terrier community and its breeders, is fittingly reflected in this award.
In recognition of this history, the trophy will now be awarded to the winner of the Bred by Exhibitor Sweepstakes — a fitting tribute to Tania’s lifelong passion for breeding and exhibiting her own dogs. Each year, the recipient’s name will be added to the trophy, ensuring her legacy continues to inspire those dedicated to breeding quality Boston Terriers for generations to come.
