No fancy reel today - just some raw honesty for Friday morning breakfast👊🏽 and a song that doesn’t really match what I’m about to say 😂
2026! what an absolute sh*t show, let’s not sprinkle glitter on a turd of a year, let’s just call it what it is!
Don’t get me wrong I love this space, my family has put our EVERYTHING into this little circus. But it’s been hard… like 2026 made a facelift a real option.
Running a small business in 2026 (and 2025) has been less than living the dream - and all you boss babes out there will vouch for me because we are all in the same little sh*t tin boat, with a hole in it and two sieves for paddles.
Unbearable? At times. Unrelenting? Absolutely. Educational? Unfortunately. Heart breaking? Definitely.
But Apparently we (me) don’t know when to quit & resilience should be my middle name. So instead we have made some big decisions in a tough economic environment. I mean hell? Why not? 🤪
There’s a bit of new a bit of old and a bit of this and that on the horizon. Fresh ideas, some calculated risks and our sanity skidding behind us like a broken trailer hitting every pot hole in the road hoping to dear god it’s going to survive.
We are heading into November with a whole lot of ambition and a mildly concerning amount of optimism. We are not entirely sure what’s waiting for us on the other side (who does right now?) however, we have decided to back ourselves & find out.
Don’t worry ~ same lady behind the wheel, just some adjustments and tweaks on some much needed Mooi maintenance.
And if you know me & know me well I love to embrace some good old honesty & genuine transparency ~ the small business world needs more of it.
