Music to my Ears: Songs from the Shows:
That’s how Ken Hickson has billed what’s lined up for Recycled Teenagers when Chris Herden takes to the stage next Wednesday.
Billed as a music theatre artist, a crooner and hard rock singer, Chris will sing for us a selection of memorable songs from shows we know and love. His Broadway/Musical selections are from: Oklahoma, South Pacific, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Paint Your Wagon and Sweeney Todd.
Also expect a couple of James Bond theme songs (Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, From Russia With Love), as well as numbers from two shows he’s recently featured in: Good Morning Vietnam and The Very Best of Burt Bacharach & Hal David.
Don’t miss the “commanding stage presence and powerful vocals” of Chris Herden at our Recycled Teenagers event at Wynnum 60 and Better next Wednesday.
How about Musical Melodies and the “Sound of Julie”?
For Recycled Teenagers, Ken Hickson has come up with another treat. Wouldn’t you like to enjoy Musical Melodies at the Redland Performing Arts Centre? On Wednesday 27 May at 11am, Suellen Cusack will deliver an enchanting tribute to Julie Andrews in “The Sound of Julie”, featuring beloved songs from Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music. Ken & M Hickson have enjoyed two of the previous Musical Melodies’ concerts at RPAC Cleveland and wants more of us to come along for another musical treat. The plan is to travel there and back by train.
As we need to book in advance to secure the best rate of $29 a head – please email or call the office to put your name down.
