Our educators are truly the heart of our service. Their kindness, dedication and passion make such a wonderful difference in the lives of the children and families who come to Playgroup, Bindi Kindi and Pre-Kindy throughout the week.

Thank you so much Tjorn for the kind words.

I have really been impressed with the wonderful community services provided by Meerilinga Woodvale. During one of my recent visits, I learned that a vital defibrillator had been stolen from the premises. Thanks to the excellent advice provided by St John WA we were able to install a secure replacement unit. While I hope that it doesn't need to be used, I'm glad its presence provides some peace of mind.

❤️ A wonderful outcome for our community! ❤️

Unfortunately, late last year our community defibrillator was vandalised and had to be removed. We know how important this lifesaving piece of equipment is and many community members expressed their disappointment at its loss.

Determined to find a solution, our Coordinator Samantha set out to seek support to have it replaced.

At our recent Linkwest Neighbourhood Centre Week Lunch, attended by Tjorn Sibma MLC, he generously pledged to assist with replacing the defibrillator. True to his word, within just a few weeks it was ordered and installed outside our building.

We are thrilled to once again have a publicly accessible defibrillator available for our community. 🚑 Having this vital piece of equipment accessible could make all the difference in an emergency.

This week we celebrated NAIDOC Week with Janelle from .

NAIDOC Week 2026 marks 50 Years of Deadly, celebrating five decades of honouring and recognising the history, culture, achievements and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The children enjoyed singing songs, learning some Noongar language, participating in creative craft activities and exploring Indigenous culture through hands-on experiences. To finish the morning, everyone shared a delicious native inspired morning tea featuring bush tucker spices and fruit.
