🐔 TEMPORARY CHICKEN VISITS! 🐔

We have some special visitors at Meerilinga Woodvale! 💚🧡

While their new home is being renovated at Meerilinga Hilton, the Meerilinga Coolbellup chickens are enjoying a little staycation here at Woodvale! 🏡🐔

✨ Introducing Fairy, Crunchy and Rainbow! ✨

Lovingly named by the children from our Coolbellup Service, our feathered friends are:
🤎 Fairy – Light brown
🖤 Crunchy – Black
🤎 Rainbow – Dark brown

They have settled into our chicken coop area and will be staying with us for the next couple of weeks. We’re looking forward to watching the children enjoy having these special visitors as part of our learning environment! 🐣💚

And the exciting news? 👀 It’s our hope that Meerilinga Woodvale will welcome our very own flock of chickens in 2027 ! 🐔🏡

🌿 Kaya Community,

We have been inundated with Woolworths Food Diversion today and we have lots of fresh produce that will need to be consumed over the next few days! 🍎🥦🥖

Today from 1:00pm onwards, you are very welcome to come down and collect some food for your family.

🐔 Tomorrow morning from 8:30am:
You are also very welcome to come and collect any leftover fruit and vegetables for your worm farms, chickens and compost.

Our compost and worm farm are FULL! 😂So please help us put this wonderful food to good use and keep it out of landfill.

Everyone is welcome — please feel free to share with friends, neighbours and community members who may benefit. 💚
