Today's field trip was an excellent outing. Good weather, early walk, stuffed our faces for brunch, sat and talked for hours. We were joined by black cockatoos, great bowerbirds, red-headed honey eaters, a couple of frilled lizards and the required picnic ants. Everything you could hope for at a picnic.

What a successful field trip. There flowers, yellow praying mantis, TENPS members, beetles, rock formations, bamboo, bees, butterfly nets, muffins, spiders eating their mates, dragonflies, hundreds of butterflies (blues, yellows, browns, etc.) and great camaraderie.

The NT Field Naturalist Club is proud to announce that we are funding a scholarship at Charles Darwin University. We will be presenting $1000 to assist a student who is interested Natural History, Ecology or Environmental Science. Must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Honours or Master of Environmental Management undertaking a thesis or project on Northern Australian animals, plants and/or the natural environment.
