What a lovely Sunday afternoon in Whiteside discussing the history and the future of the area with the North Pine Residents Association.

Incredibly, they were celebrating their 50th year as an organisation with some of the original members in attendance.

Resident and progress associations make the job of councillors so much easier. They hold local knowledge and history, they canvas the views of the community, and they are strong advocates for things that need doing! I’m so grateful for all the volunteer hours that go in to making our communities the wonderful places they are.

Whether you have time to commit, want to stay in the loop, or just want to support those that are doing the work please join your local residents or progress association.
