WHO WE ARE

The Victorian Fire and Rescue Squad (VFRS) Inc. is a voluntary, incorporated not for profit organisation established in the early 1970's by Women For Wheels. After a tragic crash that claimed the life of a driver in the late 1960's, it was their vision to ensure a high level of fire protection could be provided for all drivers, officials and race team members regardless of the category

or the level of their competition. OUR AIM IS TO CONTINUE THEIR VISION

In addition to being trained for fire suppression, our members are trained in rescue techniques and the methods used to extricate drivers safely from disabled vehicles. The VFRS is affiliated with the Confederation of Australian Motorsport and all our members are accredited and licensed CAMS officials. Many are also volunteer fire fighters away from the track.
