⚫️ SWALSC encourages eligible Aboriginal people to consider applying for the new Noongar Reference Group being established by the Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID).

🟡 This group will provide an important opportunity for Aboriginal voices to contribute to discussions and engagement relating to major infrastructure projects across Noongar Boodja

🗓 Applications close 5:00 pm, Friday 12 June 2026

People sometimes assume that because a field has been cropped or had livestock run on it for a long time there can’t be Yued cultural heritage present.

But in reality the process of turning over the soil repeatedly combined with erosion can result in bringing ancient tools to light.

What’s more, not all culturally significant fresh water sources have been mapped.

These are all important reasons for us to work with landowners to survey areas of Yued Boodja that haven’t been surveyed before, and to help them help us to protect culture.
