💙 Keeping our Whitsunday patients moving
For many people across the Whitsundays, getting to a medical appointment in Mackay isn't as simple as jumping in the car.

Our Whitsunday Patient Transfer Service helps bridge that gap, providing transport for patients who need to travel to Mackay for medical appointments and treatment — and then getting them safely home again.

Thanks to the generous support of the Macrossan and Amiet Charitable Foundation, we're able to help with the ongoing costs of keeping our Whitsunday patient transfer bus on the road and available for the community. 🚌

It's the everyday costs of running services like this that make an enormous difference — helping ensure our patients can access the healthcare they need, regardless of the distance between home and their appointment.

We're incredibly grateful to the Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation for investing in a service that directly supports patients and families throughout the Whitsunday region.

Mackay Base Hospital is currently experiencing significant demand, with our healthcare teams caring for a number of extremely unwell patients who require complex care.

We can all play a small part in supporting them. 💙
