We recently spent time on site with Chris Sheath, Grounds Manager at Trinity College and were once again struck by the sheer scale and diversity of the grounds he oversees. From high‑use sporting fields and recreation areas to spaces enjoyed by the broader community, the operation is impressive in both size and complexity.

Managing an environment of this magnitude comes with significant expectations. The school community relies on these facilities every day, and a number of local sporting clubs also make regular use of the grounds throughout the year. Keeping everything safe, functional and consistently well‑presented is a demanding task.

It’s clear Chris is supported by a dedicated, hardworking team, and together they deliver exceptional results. Their attention to detail, pride in their work, and commitment to maintaining high standards are evident throughout the site.

The quality of the facilities is a credit to the entire team and the professionalism they bring to their roles.

Congratulations to Chris and his team on the outstanding work they continue to deliver. A fantastic effort all round — keep it up!

Connection, collaboration, and education were the clear themes of the day at the 5th Annual Waterpro Open Spaces event at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

TMSA popped in to see some of the sessions on offer today.

It was great to see TMSA members and Course Superintendents Rowan Daymond (The Grange Golf Club) and Richard James (Kooyonga Golf Club) during their session, “LIV and Learn: Inside the World’s Biggest Golf Event.” Who would have guessed they share a 20-year friendship and a history of working together? Their camaraderie was evident.

Earlier in the day, TMSA member Todd Heinrich, Assistant Curator at Adelaide Oval (SMA), joined a panel with Cisgenics for their session on “AI and Advanced Irrigation Control.” It was a fascinating discussion on how AI is helping to elevate turf management standards at Adelaide Oval.

TMSA extends its sincere thanks for the invitation and congratulates Waterpro on delivering a successful, well-executed event.

Tim Warren has served as Course Superintendent at Glenelg Golf Club for the past eight years, leading several significant initiatives during his tenure.

Most notably, he oversaw the Club’s ambitious five-year Course Enhancement Project, a $4.3 million redevelopment that included the resurfacing of all greens, bunker reconstruction, and the installation of a state-of-the-art Rain Bird IC irrigation system.
