How amazing is this!

Great News for Wellington!

Orana Support Service is delighted to announce that we have successfully secured six transitional units for women and children in Wellington.

These units are scheduled to be operational from September and will provide safe, secure, and supportive accommodation for women and children as they transition towards stable, long-term housing.

We are incredibly excited to bring this important project to the Wellington community and look forward to sharing more details about the service, referral pathways, and support available over the coming weeks.

The Wellington Local Aboriginal Land Council and Wellington Aboriginal Co-operative Society are seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Manager to lead and support housing services that strengthen community wellbeing, culture, and housing outcomes.

✨ About the Role

- Manage tenancy agreements and rental processes
- Coordinate property inspections and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation and policies
- Build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders
- Support the delivery of safe, affordable, and culturally appropriate housing services

✅ We're looking for someone with:

-Experience in housing, property management, community services, or a related field
-Strong communication and organisational skills
-Computer literacy and record management experience
-A current driver's licence
-An understanding of Aboriginal communities and cultural protocols (highly desirable)
