Three words changed everything: we stayed together.

When treatment meant travel, this family didn’t have to choose between care and each other. They had a private home, a kitchen, a bed for everyone, and one less thing to worry about 💜

That kind of relief matters. It helps families focus on what counts most.

If you know a family needing support during cancer treatment, reach out today.

They finally felt like a family again 💜

When treatment took them far from home, this little respite home gave them something priceless. Time together, a warm cup of tea, and one less thing to worry about.

That’s the difference your support can make.

🏙️ ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO TAKE THE PLUNGE? 🏙️

This year, 20 FEARLESS participants will abseil down the iconic InterContinental Adelaide ... and we need YOU to be one of them! 💜

Here's the truth that keeps us going every single day:

When a cancer patient travels to the city for life-saving treatment, accommodation alone can cost up to $10,000. That's not a typo. $10,000 ... just for a roof over their head. Crazy right?

And without that support? People are DECLINING treatment. Not because they don't want to live. But because they simply can't afford to stay.

That's where CPSA steps in. 💪

Our Patient Accommodation Programs provide FREE accommodation, not just for patients, but for their ENTIRE family. Whether the stay is one week or one year, the cost to the family is ZERO. Nothing. Not a cent.

Because we know that patients with family by their side have GREATER treatment outcomes. Families belong together - especially during the hardest moments of their lives. Sometimes, it's what gets you through the day.

This financial year alone, demand for our services has grown by 465%. The need is real. The need is NOW.

So here's your chance to do something extraordinary. Register for the Adelaide City Plunge, raise a minimum of $850, (hit up your friend, family, colleagues etc) and that secures YOUR spot at the top of one of Adelaide's most iconic buildings. Don't let the fundraising goal scare you. Most participants raise an average of $1000+.
Do it for someone you know who is currently on their treatment journey, or what better way to honour a loved one lost to this horrible disease.
And whilst you might say you don't like heights, I assure you, no cancer patient likes treatment. Their fear is huge. I assure you that you are in safe hands with the Zenith Events team. (I've done it twice now, myself) So let's band together and make this a day to remember.

One step off the edge. A lifetime of impact. 🙌

👉 REGISTER NOW - spots are strictly limited to 20 brave souls. Don't let someone else take yours!

Small changes, big health wins 💜

Not all cancers can be prevented, but many risk factors are modifiable. A few everyday habits can make a real difference.

Eat more plants, move your body, limit alcohol, and keep up with screening. If you’re not sure where to start, your GP can help.

Save this checklist and share it with someone you love.

9:15am in QLD, and CPSA Committee Member Peter, is out and about, ‘walking the talk’ and donating blood.

Did you know that:

1) **34% of blood products** are used by **cancer patients** (making them Australia’s largest users of donated blood and blood products).

2) **More than 10,000 blood donations are needed every week** in Australia to support people living with cancer.

3) **About 1 in 2 Australians** will be diagnosed with cancer **by age 85** (a key driver of rising demand for blood products).

4) The number of Australians **living with, or beyond cancer** is expected to reach **1.9 million by 2040**, up from **1.0 million in 2018** (implying higher future demand for transfusions and blood products).

5) Lifeblood stated they need **100,000 new donors in a single year** to help meet demand (including demand driven by cancer care).

If you can donate blood, please do! Especially if you are 0- blood type, as your blood can be used universally.

Thanks for doing your bit Pete!
