WARNING - THIS VIDEO CONTAINS SOME LANGUAGE!

Here is possibly the best video I have seen this year. Here is Jäy Hörlör and Erin Hickey’s personal account of their Adelaide City Plunge Experience on Friday last week.

Together, their team ‘Knot Today Cancer’ has raised has raised $2,365! What a massive achievement.
If you want to support them, you can still donate.

There is ‘Talking the talk’ , and there is ‘Walking the walk’ …….. then there is ‘Walking the Walk 25 Floors down a building’ !!

This is Liza Campbell and Prue Stevenson, employees of Cancer Prevention and Support Association. You’ve most likely spoken with them on the phones but on Friday they both took on a new role with CPSA as temporary super heroes taking part in the !

Collectively, they raised over $2600 for country cancer patients. What a fantastic level of commitment.
We are so proud of both of you and are so grateful for the way you both show up for our country cancer patients day in and day out.

If you want to get behind the girls, you can still donate at

ADELAIDE CITY PLUNGE…….. IMPENDING!

There is just one more sleep (and we use that term loosely for all our participants) until 12 very brave souls take to the Intercontinental Adelaide for the Adelaide City Plunge.

Thank you to Jäy Hörlör, Erin Hickey and Whyalla News for printing this article and helping us to bring awareness of CPSA to the many regional folk out on the Eyre Peninsula.

It’s nit too late to help Jay and Erin reach their goal of $2000 raised, and they are so close!!

If you can spare a few bucks, please click the link and support team ‘Knot Today Cancer’ as they abseil 25 floors down the building tomorrow.

❤️❤️❤️

A fantastic little write up in the Whyalla News, with Jay explaining why his participation in the Adelaide City Plunge is so important to him.

❤️

Former Whyalla local Jason Horlor is stepping far outside his comfort zone to honour his late mother and support regional families affected by cancer, by abseiling down the InterContinental as part of the Adelaide City Plunge.

To donate, head to the Knot Today Cancer team page at the CPSA’s website: cancer-prevention-and-support-association.grassrootz.com/adelaide-city-plunge-2026-cancer-prevention-support-association/knot-today-cancer.

KNOT TODAY CANCER!! KNOT TOMORROW EITHER!!

Jäy Hörlör and Erin Hickey are one of the mighty brave teams ‘Taking The Plunge’ next Friday 28th Aug, abseiling 25 floors down the InterContinental Building!!

Why?
Because they are taking a stance (well, descent) for country cancer patients.
Jay grew up in Whyalla, over 4hrs from Adelaide. He understands how much of a toll that kind of distance can have on a person, let alone a sick person. The travel fatigue, the sick bags the hot and cold flushes. It sounds horrendous.
But with support from CPSA, country patients AND THEIR FAMILIES, have access to FREE accommodation in the city for as long as they need it. Located in the CBD, our home provides a place of dignity, comfort and support.

With no shared facilities and room for the whole family, this provides a safe place for families to support one another.

If you want to help Jay and Erin reach their fundraising goal, and ensure we are able to support more country families…. You can make a donation here.

Thank you so much Jay and Erin!

Hi Friends! Jay and I are trying to fundraise $2,000 to help Cancer Prevention and Support Association. To accomplish this we have created a team called Knot Today Cancer!. She watched her son Remo fight Leukaemia. She stayed by his side. She tag-teamed with his partner Tia so his kids could be there too.

And she did all of that from our Adelaide apartment — because CPSA made sure the whole family could stay together, close to the hospital, without a single dollar of out-of-pocket cost.

Now Glenda is stepping off a 24-storey building to say thank you. 💪

On Friday 28th August, she's abseiling down the InterContinental Adelaide as part of the Adelaide City Plunge — and every $100 raised covers ONE night of accommodation for a family just like Remo's.

Glenda says she'll "jump at anything" (pun intended) to help the next family get the same support she received. Honestly? We believe her. 🙌

Click the link below to donate and back Glenda on her descent!
