Australias Big Prayer Meeting A Call to Australians to Pray

This community is a Christian prayer network across Australia of unified prayer for Australia and Australians.

Why ”Australia`s Big Prayer Meeting”? Purely as an encourager to pray all across Australia in one “BIG” proactive prayer meeting for Australia to be healed. (2 Chron 7:14)

I believe The Lord wants me to do this. Please allow me to encourage as many Australians who love The Lord Jesus to be praying for Australia by liking and sharing this page. This is to embrace and encourage those who know Jesus

Christ to be the Son of the Living God, Creator God of Heaven, The God of eternal salvation - to actively be praying for our nation. Let`s take God at His word and pray. 2 Chronicles 7:14. If you are one of “His people”, please join us here and pray for our nation Australia. Where ever we are each day – many people praying thus continuous prayer! Allow The Lord to prompt you where your everyday takes you – whenever, for whoever, for whatever He prompts you to pray for. This prayer platform;
- Is for everyone who knows Jesus as The Way, The Truth and The Life. – As their personal Lord and Saviour.
- Is a Market Place initiative, is not denominational.
- is to uphold our nation Australia – The Great South Land of The Holy Spirit, before Almighty God and be in constant prayer for “His Will to Come” (Matthew 6:10) to this land Australia. What we will bring before The Lord?
- The retention of Godly foundations and roots in the governing of this country and therefore the negating of all that is not from The Lord.
- The Lords Will be done in and throughout this land by His Power and Might, for His good pleasure and purposes.
- For each other and people we know in specific need.
- The droughts. Certainly the land is suffering in many agricultural regions of severe lack of rain. And there would seem to be a shifting from traditional Godly principles to atheistic, self-righteous, self-sufficient adoptions and therefore a spiritual drought.
- The many losses Australians are suffering of their livelihoods – farms, manufacturing, retail businesses, family businesses and therefore loss of identity, purpose and indeed lives. Which in too many cases is leading to suicides to escape their inflicted hopelessness.
- The negating of every force, agenda, religion and following that does not acknowledge the God of Heaven as supreme. Particularly those who want to rob this country of our Godly heritage. Praying for their lives.
- The negating of every effort and activity of the enemy of our souls in his attempts to discourage, take, waste and destroy this land and indeed us as individuals who proclaim the Name of Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

Let`s join together as a big bold body of Christ all around Australia through this electronic platform, humble ourselves before our Lord, empty ourselves of our solutions and submit with expectation and obedience Matthew 6 : 10 Let`s adopt the posture of obedient children coming submissively to our hero Dad who has every purpose and answer. Let`s be more confident in Our Lord`s ability to heal, teach and lead us than in our ability to do or indeed our ability to learn and follow. Let`s come expecting to see change in our land, expecting to see attitudes, agendas and lives changed by and for Jesus Christ. I will post prayer prompts and encouragements for us to bring before Our Lord in Prayer as a unified Body all across Australia. Let`s encourage each other in every way. Particularly to adopt a passion for our country to reflect Godly ways, principles, outcomes and associated fruit. Let`s be big in our prayer coverage in every corner of this wonderful country, big in encouragement of each other, and big in expectation of our God who promises to heal our land as we humble ourselves and pray. I encourage anyone to post relevant issues;

- Please keep posts short. This will make it easier for more to read and consider.
- Please do not preach or post agendas other than bringing Australia before the Lord.
- This platform is to draw Aussies together who love The Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. This is our commonality and unifying drawing together.

1 Thessalonians 5; 16-18. Let`s rejoice always and in all ways. IE – feel and show great joy. Be the salt of the earth. We can only do this with the help of The Lord surely. Let`s do this in “real” ways that are authentic and believable in this world we walk in. We can be Praying without ceasing, someone somewhere in Australia all the time. Let`s give thanks in all circumstances. Let`s adopt an attitude of gratitude in all we are and all we do. Let`s seek The Lord`s will for our lives and live it with Integrity, boldness and His Kingdom as our pursuit. Please join in this in Jesus` Name

Not father Christmas, we come to Father God
Not what might be under the tree for me, but positioned and poised at the foot of the tree on which your son hung.
No longer the babe, but now the Saviour, our Saviour. The death conqueror, The hope of the world,
We come today to You with hearts filled with gratitude and praise. Gratitude for the life we`ve lived, albeit flawed, but with you, with overbearing desires to live faithful and holy lives that reflect in some way, your grace. And praise, as we reflect and see your hand OF PROTECTION, PROVISION, GROWTH and PURPOSE at work in our lives.
In this time of transition from one year to another, we face the new year putting off things that need to be discarded in our lives, adopting new focuses and life models, or if you like, FINE-TUNING some stuff. and certainly continuing on with the routines and responsibilities we each have. We ask you to be our guide. In fact, more-so, we ask that our plans will be of obedience and submission to your plans. Help us be good stewards of the time you give us.
While most of our responsibilities do not change, we do ask you Lord to continue to change us more into the people, the individuals you have for us to be. We dare to ask you to make a difference in our lives this year. Even, to make us different people to who we are today this year by your presence, by your mercies, by your almighty perfection and power.
Make a difference to each of us as individuals
Make a difference in our church
Make a difference in our families.
Make a difference to our representation of you.
not for our sakes alone, but that we would better glorify you in our everyday, that we would magnify your name in ways we don`t yet even know, that we would be open to your changing, that we will continue to grow to be more like you
We don`t want to be merely fans, but true followers of Jesus. We want to live the difference you are.

This is a great response from Pastor Nathan Killick

Once again I wonder if there is a God who cares. He would have known the plot of 24 year old Naveed Akram and his father, as they planned bloody havoc on a peaceful, Bondi Beach, Hanukkah celebration. He could have made their car break down, or jammed their firing mechanisms, or any one of a million things that would have prevented this shocking massacre. Yet God did nothing… not one of those things.

Now there are (at least) 16 less people in the world celebrating with their families during this season. Families who, at this period celebrating 'peace', will remember those killed for the rest of their lives - the opposite of peace.

In the past I would have trotted out some bland unintentionally insensitive answer. "This happened because of 'sin', or because of 'racism'"... or something like that. However I can't do that anymore. Suffering and evil and the seeming absence of God, is a perplexing, mysterious, destabilizing and disturbing reality. The Bible says the first thing to do is not to offer answers, but to weep with those who weep... it's just that we seem to be weeping a lot with no end in sight.

I don't know why God doesn't stop pain, but what I do know, is he did what no other 'god' did and entered pain. Experiencing it with us. The "peace on earth" announced at Christmas is not a promise that violence will stop or that history will suddenly behave itself. It is the declaration that God has entered a violent, fractured world and refuses to stay distant from it. Peace begins not with the world becoming calm, but with God drawing near to people exactly as they are - sinful, angry, racist, cruel, and broken. Christmas peace isn't about the absence of conflict; it's about God's presence in the middle of it. Jesus is born into chaos, oppression, and fear — not to escape it, but to transform how we live within it.

I don't know what God is doing, but I know he is in it, and this is all we have on offer. I am not saying 'God must have had some purpose for allowing this'. I'm not sure that is right, because surely God can work out better ways to get things done. I don't think God had a purpose, all I know is that he is in it. He is with the families of the 16 murdered. With the traumatised who had to run from the scene. With the Australian public hearing the reports. 'With us'.

Christmas peace is not the end of struggle, but the beginning of trust — trust that God is with us, even when life doesn't resolve neatly, even when the story remains unfinished, and in the meantime we wait… impatiently and heartbroken.

A prayer:

God who is there,

God who does care,

Make your care and presence known to us in the midst of yet another pain.

Do as you promised and be with the grieving.

Do as you promised and be with us in our fear and confusion.

Give us a deeper knowledge and experience of your peace.

The peace that passes our understanding.

The peace we need to live through today.

The type of peace we may not want but actually need.

Help us to bring your peace to the world.

We pray this in the name of the Prince of Peace.

In the game of life, Live life in the game, stay on the field.

We do need time out at times, only do that under the tutorage of The Master Coach.

Never stay there idle becoming a sideline expert.

LIVE OFFENSIVELY

A life lived repentant, obedient and submissive to The Master Coach, will never have reason to live defensively.

A life lived offensively needs to present in humility and outlive the Fruits of the Spirit

The UK are promoting euthanasia for homeless people. Sadly it will only be a matter of time before it’s a common mindset in all western cultures.

It’s yet another representation of the decline in value of human life. Reduced to the value of monetary economy, their precious economy we constantly hear about.

Yet there is no restraint on their spending.

It flies in the face of everything our Heavenly Father is, the value of life He applies and the responsibilities He expects of us to care for those in need.

There is only ONE who holds the keys to life & death. He does not need any help on deciding when death should be!

He does need our application to care for life, not devalue it to a mere dollar value
