As we reflect on all the fantastic people who helped bring ALERT Warrnambool to life this year… we must extend an extra special thank you to and their instructors Taigue and Scotty 🚙💨

Bringing Defensive Driving to Warrnambool was a cornerstone of ALERT, and it was incredibly fulfilling to see that come to life - with a team just as passionate about road safety as we are 💙🧡

Taigue and Scotty went from knowing nothing about ALERT Warrnambool, to very quickly becoming some of our biggest supporters and truly embracing of family and the Southwest Community.

Keep an eye on our socials for a look at what the Defensive Driving course was like (you might even see a familiar face or two!!) … and the mark ALERT Warrnambool and Defensive Driver Training into your calendar for 2027 😉

Our inaugural event was a huge success thanks to our amazing sponsors, supporters and volunteers

ALERT Warrnambool is here to stay and will be an annual event on the local calendar for years to come. 

We will grow and evolve with the community’s needs and look forward to not only being an annual in-person event but also an ongoing presence and platform to educate and promote safer driver, car and road user awareness in the South West region.

Did you see us down at the civic green on the weekend? We loved introducing ALERT Warrnambool to the community 💙🧡

Thank you to everyone who was a part of our event… whether you were volunteering, getting your child restraints checked, or just came down to say hi 👋🏻 we appreciate you being a part of it.

So great to see drivers of all ages head over to our free basic car maintenance workshops with Al from yesterday 🔧🚙

The team gave every driver hands-on opportunities to learn how to look after each of their own cars and what to look out for before you head out on the road!

These guys are now pros at checking tyre condition and pressures… checking oil, washer fluid and coolant levels… getting familiar with their spare tyre and jack/equipment and to undo lug nuts on the roadside with minimal equipment ✅

Introducing ALERT’s 2026 Ambassador… local race car driver 🏎️💙

Corey knows the importance of understanding car control (just like the skills that will be taught in our Defensive Driver Training Courses 🚙)… he also has a absolute respect for the fact that speed has no place on our roads and as a young dad, Corey is passionate about correct fitting of child car restraints 👶🏽.

Corey (along with his wife Em) will be amongst our speakers at our Voices & Views session at the Lighthouse Theatre on Thursday 21st from 7pm 🎤

Corey will be present at many the ALERT workshops, sessions and training… AND you can come down to check out his v90 Sprintcar on the Civic Green from 10am-2pm on Saturday 23rd 🧡
