Seven members converged in Penshurst for a delightful 10k walk. We checked out churches and schools before heading up Mt Rouse. Onto the Penshurst bakery for coffee, beestings pies and pasties! Finally on to the Botanic Gardens to view the beautiful autumn colours.

The Friends of the GSWW are excited to be hosting the FEDERATION WALKS for 2026. The Fed Walks are a Bushwalking Victoria initiative and is open to all BWV affiliated club members.
Walkers from all over the state will converge on Portland to take part in a weekend of walks.

On offer will be walks of distances from 5km to 20km through our unique and varied landscapes.
The GSWW is often referred to as a Symphony in Four Movements, hinting at the four distinct environments of river, forest, beach and clifftops.

Saturday night will be at the Portland Golf Club for dinner, raffles, speakers and live music.

Watch this space for further information, and visit the Bushwalking Victoria or GSWW websites and join a club, then join us in October.
