🌱 Waikiki Planting Day – July 2026 🌱

What a cracker of a day! ☀️

The sun was out, the air was crisp, and the good vibes were flowing on this beautiful stretch of coastline adjoining Shoalwater Islands Marine Park.

On Sunday 27 July, we were thrilled to welcome a fantastic turnout of volunteers for a community planting day at Waikiki Beach, helping to conserve and restore the dunes in this important coastal area.

Together, volunteers planted approximately 3,000 seedlings along the dunes near Julia Street, featuring nine coastal species including coastal pigface, seaberry saltbush, and beach spinifex.

A huge thank you to Perth NRM and the City of Rockingham for coordinating the day, and to the incredible Green S Force volunteers whose enthusiasm, hard work, and hospitality helped make the event such a success. Everyone was kept well fed and watered throughout the day, and the chai was definitely a crowd favourite! ☕💚
