With shattered hearts we share that our beautiful, brave Eden boy passed away peacefully at our home on Sunday morning, with us right by his side. We are devastated, but grateful that his passing was calm and surrounded by love.

We will be holding a private funeral service for our immediate family and close friends. Following this, there will be a Celebration of Eden’s Life with refreshments, which will be more open for others who wish to come and honour our magical boy.

We’ve just come back from Eden’s Starlight Wish trip and it was honestly magic ✨ The Starlight team absolutely spoiled him and gave us a break we really needed. Coming back to Sydney afterwards was tough.. it’s a weird feeling to finish a holiday and not go home.

Straight after we got back, Eden started chemo again. He’s on a treatment that targets the bone marrow for the MDS. This is Cycle 1 and the hope is to get things stable, help his marrow recover, and then hit the rhabdo with more intense chemo. If all goes well, the next step would be a bone marrow transplant 🤞

He’s handled the first few days pretty well - tired and a bit grumpy, but doing amazing for everything he’s going through. He’s also needed a lot of blood products lately, especially platelets.

This week the hospital moved into the brand new Sydney Children’s Hospital. We’ll be in the new clinic next week - separate waiting areas, more bays, beautiful play spaces, family areas… and the oncology ward now has ALL solo rooms 😭😍🙏
Plus a brand new Starlight Express Room, which Eden will basically live in 😆💛

If the timing works in our favour, we’re hoping we can get back to Wagga for Christmas 🎄🤞 But like always, there are so many unknowns. Really hoping we get to be home this year.

We are absolutely blown away! 65 swab kits have already been sent out!! 🙌🏼

And even more incredible… a huge organisation in Canada, Swab the World, has reached out after seeing Eden’s appeal! 🇨🇦 They want to help promote it internationally to reach even more potential donors 😭💛

The response so far has been beyond amazing, so many of you have shared, swabbed, and spread the word. We can’t thank you enough.

✨ We’ll be hosting a coffee catch-up in early December, with some helpful information from our wonderful local Stem Cell Australia ambassador, Jenny Nixon. Come along, learn more, and connect with others supporting Eden’s journey. Date TBC.

Our House and Family Room has been buzzing over the past few months and we are running out of our everyday essentials that our families love. Up at the Hospital families take a moment to relax with a coffee but we are almost out of pods! From the House individual snacks to keep those afternoon munchies away for kids and families.

Any donation would make the greatest impact to our families at the House and Family Room. 💙

We had a little window at home before things get busy again with unknowns, appointments and decisions ahead. Our family pulled together a very last minute but truly spectacular early 4th birthday celebration for Eden. 💛

It was everything he loves- his favourite people, his favourite things, and the biggest smiles all around.

🕷️ Spiderman for his patience, kindness and fun energy that had Eden in awe (and most of all.. that epic spidey jump)

Eden had the best time and is the happiest (almost) 4 year old ever. We’ll be holding on to this day tightly. 🌻💛

We’ve had some really hard news recently, and it’s taken time to find the words to share it.

After almost a year of fighting rhabdomyosarcoma so bravely, we’ve learned that Eden’s cancer has returned and he’s also developed a second, exceptionally rare cancer called Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), caused by the very treatment that saved him the first time. It’s so rare to have both that the team hasn’t been able to find another case like his, so this is truly uncharted territory.

We’re incredibly reassured that his oncologists are doing everything they can and are putting together a plan. The goal is to treat the rhabdo first with surgery and radiation to get him back into remission, before moving forward with a bone marrow transplant to tackle the MDS.

Despite everything, Eden has actually been feeling really well, so we’ve been soaking up every bit of that… making the most of family time, laughter, sunshine, and fun whenever we can
