Lap The Lake Join us as we lap the lake to raise money and awareness for su***de prevention, mental health and Dads in Distress.

In memory of those who lost their battle with life, and in support of those fighting to stay.

In 2023, the Cox family lost their son Shane Cox to su***de. For the last 2 years, Debbie and the family have created an event - Lap the Lake in honour of Shane’s passing and to raise awareness and funds around mental health and su***de prevention.

This year, Debbie chose to donate the money raised to TIACS, Dad’s in Distress and the Murrumbidgee Men’s Group. Words can’t express how grateful we are to Debbie who donated $10k to MMG.

We would like to thank the Debbie and the Cox Family from the bottom of our hearts for their efforts to raise awareness of mental health and su***de prevention in our community and for choosing MMG to donate to.

Your journey gives us purpose and motivates our group to keep trying to make a difference in our community. 💙🙌🏼

What an absolutely incredible effort by our whole community! We’re excited to share that this year’s event raised a grand total of $24,297.85! 🎉💙

This amazing result wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of the Wagga Wagga community. Every one who came, volunteered and sponsored helped make this event such a success. There were alot of heartfelt conversations happening and support offered between people connecting at the event.
