Geoff Burch from the Wagga Wagga & District Historical Society Inc. was kind enough to let me share his research on the website, and I was able to build a timeline going all the way back to 1863 to demonstrate the ongoing connection of women to this historic building.

I went down a little rabbit hole about the first female owner, Sarah Boon and ended up reading about property law!

I’ll be looking for more info about Sarah when I visit the Charles Sturt University regional archives in July!

Timeline of women @ 38 Morrow St This timeline was put together using Geoff Burch’s research on 38 Morrow St. Check it out here Local history — Wagga Wagga Women of 38 Morrow Street A history…

I’m so excited to introduce Pattie!

Pattie was one of the first Wagga girls to reach out, and I was lucky enough to spend some time with her and her daughter Carol on Anzac Day in beautiful Ngunnawal country (Canberra)

Pattie shared some beautiful and funny stories about her adventures with her bestie Dot Woolley, who boarded at the hostel around 1954. I can’t wait to bring these stories to you, and I’ll be sharing a little sneak peak on the website soon.

In the meantime go and check out Patties pockets of joy, along with the other wonderful women who have shared.

If you would like to share your story, please reach out 💖

Thank you Pattie, I am so grateful for your generosity of spirit.

Good morning and thank you for following my page!

I'll be sharing some key updates here, and any cool stuff that pops up.

What I'm most excited about now though is my Pockets of Joy page, which is a collection of little snippets from conversations and comments so far that I think shows the spirit of the project.

If you'd like to share yours please comment below, email me, or submit via the website. It can be completely anonymous, as long as it's yours 🌻
