Our topic for the July 2025 meeting were the fascinating and beautiful terrestrial orchids of Southern Australia, featuring the passionate Kyrill Harding as speaker. Kyrill has been traveling the countryside viewing and photographing these rare beauties for over 20 years and growing them for just as long. He is currently the Tuberbank Coordinator for The Australian Native Orchid Society Victoria, who make legally-sourced cultivated plants available to their members.
While not often considered by mainstream bulb growers these amazing plants fit well into the geophyte class and are an important part of broadening our horticultural horizons.
Our meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month and open at 7.30 for benching of display plants.
If you're interested in plants please come along to discover our wonderful world of bulbs. All welcome!
