Julie was asked by Tweed Shire Council on how Who Gives A Cluck is managing any threat of bird flu.
This is how we do it and how you can too!

🐓We had these beads and streamers up way before bird flu hit as a way to keep the wild birds out of the feed area. And it works! 🙌🐓no pesky bin birds in the feed 😉

Beerwah health check day. Feet!
We check for any limps, leg damage and check every hen walking for the first time on hard ground instead of their toes curled around a mesh floor, have their own way to walk.

The health check day involves many dedicated volunteers. Here’s the spa area where every hen has their feet washed. It’s their first time with humans!
