❤️ COMMUNITY SUPPORT WHEN IT MATTERS MOST ❤️

Sometimes, a little help at the right time can make a world of difference.

The Rotary Club of Coomera Valley is proud to provide a $500 food voucher to support a local family experiencing significant hardship.

This contribution has been made possible through the generosity of the Nucrush Group and its Nucrush Good Neighbour program — a wonderful example of local businesses and community organisations working together to support those who need it most.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Principal Nicole Stride and her team at Highland Reserve State School for bringing this family’s circumstances to our attention and helping connect support with a genuine community need.

When we work together, we can make a real difference in people’s lives. 💙

That’s community spirit in action.

Huge congratulations to Mel for being named this years Westfield Coomera Local hero. This award recognises the awesome work that Mel and the team at Christmas Presents for Kids in Care do for the children who find themselves in State care through no fault of their own.
Keep up the great work.
We encourage all our friends of Rotary to get behind this charity, particularly now in the lead up to their busiest time, Christmas.

A great night at our meeting last night where our DG Deb Frugtniet and Craig joined us for a
Crazy hat night in support of Australian Rotary Health’s Lift the Lid on Mental Illness.
Big thanks to Kellie Streeter for leading the evening.

It’s been a long time since the call of “Stamps” has rung out at Rotary Club of Coomera Valley. Not since our long past President, Peter Davidson ran a campaign to collect used stamps to use to raise funds for charitable purposes.
Member Tony Small remembered the good old days when he heard that an old lady who collected stamps was looking to donate her lifetime collection.
I am reliably informed by Tony that there was 16kg of used stamps in the bag.
Thanks to Rotary District 9640 we were able to link the stamps to the Rotary Club of Currumbin Coolangatta Tweed who still raise funds in this manner. Was this a record donation??

We are pleased to have sponsored attendees to this wonderful camp. We are happy to have been just one of the hundreds of hands mentioned in this post.

Thank you to every camper, supporter, volunteer, and sponsor who made Agoonoree 2026 such a success.

Our exec team is pictured here, missing a few familiar faces, but they're only one part of the huge crew who bring this camp to life. It takes hundreds of hands and hearts to make Agoonoree what it is.

We can't wait to welcome you all back in 2027.

🍷🍕 W**E, PIZZA, LAUGHTER… AND $1,000 FOR ROTARY! 💙💛

What a night!

On Monday, 31 Rotarians, partners and Youth Exchange students got together at Carafe Café, Southport, for a fun social evening with a serious purpose — raising money for The Rotary Foundation.

Our host Archie Cox welcomed us with a great introduction to Carafe W**e, followed by generous tastings of white, rosé and red w**es — all enjoyed with delicious pizzas fresh from the outdoor oven. 🍷🍕

And then came the fun part… an auction of nine boxes of goodies, brilliantly organised by Foundation Director Wendy Roy.

The result? 🎉 $1,000 raised for The Rotary Foundation!

A huge thank you to Archie and the Carafe team for a fantastic evening.

Great people + great w**e + great food + a great cause = a very successful Rotary night! 💙💛

🌟 Special Guest Speaker – Gareth Hunt 🌟

At last night’s meeting of the Rotary Club of Coomera Valley, we were delighted to welcome Gareth Hunt as our special guest speaker.

Gareth is the 2027/28 District Governor Elect for Rotary District 9640 and was joined by his wife, Lisa, who is a Past District Governor.

Gareth has been a long-time friend and supporter of the Rotary Club of Coomera Valley. A passionate Rotarian, he has served as President of both the Rotary Club of Hope Island and Rotary Club of Coomera River, as well as being highly active at District level.

With his extensive experience leading remote and regional teams, Gareth brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and leadership to his upcoming role.

We look forward to seeing Gareth take on the role of District Governor in 2027/28, following in the footsteps of our current District Governor, Deb Frugtniet.

Thank you, Gareth and Lisa, for joining us and sharing your time with our club. It was wonderful to have you both with us! 💙💛
