Our Resource Box for Schools has been rolling out to 4,000 schools across Australia since 2020. The latest version is due to arrive in Australia again very soon. All the boxes need to be labelled for our courier company so they can be distributed to the schools.

We need 4-6 reasonably fit volunteers who are Sydney based to assist our team in labelling these boxes. The labelling will take place sometime between 10 and 17 May in Sydney. If this could be you, please contact Marileze Buys on [email protected]

The labelling takes place during normal office hours M-F. Volunteers will need to be physically fit as some of the work requires lifting of weighted items (around 5kg per box).

The IPSD program, inspired by the Roots & Shoots (R&S) program and Dr. Goodall's work, is designed to be hands-on, interactive, and student-centered. In the IPSD, students have to immerse themselves in real-world issues and work on solving sustainability problems with local communities and NGOs. 🖤

The IPSD students are expected to study on CJCU campus during the first three years: they will take core courses related to sustainable development during the first year, and then select two out of the four modules provided by the program during the second and the third years. In the fourth year, they will finish the program with a Roots & Shoots Internship at other locations in Taiwan or abroad. ✈️

The university offers a Roots & Shoots full scholarship to the global Jane Goodall Institute R&S communities. High school graduates who have been active in local R&S projects are eligible for the support. There are also Taiwan scholarships offered by the Taiwan government and the students could get a stipend for their studies.
