By adopting a greyhound through us, you will have knowledge of the dogs upbringing, medical history and their racing career information. We will support you by assessing which dog will suit your family and lifestyle best, connecting you with trainers/breeders/owners of greyhounds who are looking for their next families and assisting in the transition phase of re-homing. We support all lovers of the greyhound breed, as well as other hound and dog families.

Meet Snow

Snow is a beautiful young greyhound with three great loves: cuddles, playtime, and whatever you're eating.

At just 2.5 years old, Snow is full of affection, enthusiasm, and fun. A true cuddle bug with a playful streak, she's looking for a home where companionship and quality time are part of everyday life.

According to her foster carer, people are one of Snow's favourite things. She has also loved every dog she has met while in foster care and especially enjoys having canine friends to play with. Add a tasty snack into the mix, and you'll have Snow's complete attention. Food is definitely one of her passions!

Snow would thrive with people who enjoy having a close, affectionate companion and can give her the time and support to settle into her new routine. She would be wonderful company for someone who is home often and would also happily share her home with another friendly dog.

Currently living with two other greyhounds, Snow loves having playmates and would be ideally suited to a home with a secure garden where she can stretch her legs, play, and enjoy the occasional zoomie.

If you're looking for a loving, sociable greyhound who approaches friendship with enthusiasm and believes every snack should be carefully supervised, Snow could be the perfect match.

Did you have a 2026 New Years resolution to volunteer for a worthy cause? You are in luck, here is your opportunity!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED PLEASE!

Greyhound Connections will be hosting the Gungahlin Bunnings BBQ on Sunday 25 October 2026 and we can't do it without your help.

Tasks include BBQ-ing, serving drinks and handling cash and card charges (we have an SQUARE which is super easy), set up and wrap up. Start time is 8.15am and wrap up is 5pm.

Please nominate yourself for a shift in the Greyhounds of Canberra group or send us a message and let us know when you can join the BBQ fun!

CONGRATULATIONS Canberra Hounds and the humans that love them!

Canberra made it in to the TOP TEN in the WORLD for the highest numbers of hounds attending the Great Global Greyhound Walk 2026.

Massive thanks to the incredible volunteers who facilitate and promote the GGGW each year, it’s no easy feat and everyone in the hound community thank you for all your work 🙏

SEWERS NEEDED SAT 12 SEPT! 🧵 🪡

We need capable sewers who can donate their time on Saturday 12 September to sew tea towels and other items for us to sell at Santa Paws in November (a major fundraiser for us!) and throughout the next year. You must be experienced enough to operate solo as we can’t provide training on the day. All fabrics provided, but please bring your machine.

We do also need a few people to help us cut fabrics and general assistance on the day, so perhaps a great opportunity for those with older kids or non-sewing friends and partners!

Dolly, Rosie, Colin, Pebbles, Sheldon, Max, Lou Lou, Millie, Odie, Ziggy, Lollipop, Austin and Winnie showed their love of retirement with very limited athletic ability deminstrated which was just fine by all.

Hi! I’m Bert and I’m looking for my true love, bonus points if your name is Ernie ❤️

I’m still a baby really, only 26 months old and I’m a big fan of kids and laying on the lounge and snoozing the day and night away. I don’t mind going outside to toilet but other than that, I’m an inside dog!

My other love in life is food, the favorite time of the day is breakfast and dinner. I will do anything for a treat and will let you know when I deserve a treat for being a very, very good boy. My people say that my love of food will make me easy to train, I say if there’s food, count me in!

I’m a big boy, 34kg hunk of cuddles and affection. Although I’m a large greyhound I’m not imposing, my people say I’m an introvert and can be shy and bashful when I first meet people. I do come out of my shell once we get to know each other and my people say my sweet and calm personality is worth the wait.

I’ve been learning pet life tips and tricks and am way better suited to my pet career than I was to my short racing career. Maybe if they had an indoor race track with treats and a lounge at the finish line I might have been motivated to run faster but as they didn’t, I didn’t try very hard. My people says that okay and they are loving seeing me thrive in learning pet life.
