We’re pleased to announce that Dr. David Forbes, AO, PhD has been named Editor-Elect of the Journal of Traumatic Stress (JTS).

Dr. Forbes is an internationally recognized clinical psychologist and trauma expert, with more than 30 years of experience in mental health, including disaster, military, veteran, and first responder populations. His extensive contributions to research, clinical practice, and policy continue to shape the field of traumatic stress studies worldwide.

He will work alongside current JTS Editor Dr. Denise Sloan through the remainder of the year and will assume full editorial leadership in January 2027.
