The Oliphant Science Awards is an annually held competition for South Australian school students from Years R -12 to develop their interest in science!

We're so excited to have Nature Education Centre joining us for the STEM Careers Day at Science Alive! on Friday 7 August.

Get up close with some amazing animals and discover the incredible educational kits they use to bring science and nature to life in classrooms across South Australia.

We had an amazing day yesterday judging for this year's Programming, Apps & Robotics category. Our wonderful volunteer judges got to chat to our keen students this year and see what they've been working on 🎉🤖

It was also great to have Georgia and Gerald from Ultra Maritime join the judging team. We are excited to have Ultra Maritime sponsor our Programming, Apps & Robotics category this year and thank them for their continuing support.

A big thanks Trinity Gardens School for hosting yes yet again and to all judges for showing up to support the competition.

Well done to everyone who came and presented their projects. We saw some great science on display! ⭐️

Get ready for some seriously cool science – the Australian Institute of Physics - SA Branch (AIP-SA) team will be running hands-on activities at our Science Alive display again this year!

From bending lasers in their "laser playpen" to exploring how we see colour using jelly and light, their come-and-try activities are always a hit.

Make sure you stop by their station and see some physics in action – it's fun, interactive and perfect for curious minds of all ages!
