🤠 LOOKING FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT THIS FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND? 🌾

Grab Dad, grab the kids, pack the camping gear, boots & denim and head out to Coominya Hobby Farm for A Dance for Dolly. 🤎

Roll in Friday night, set up camp and enjoy a night on the farm 🏕️ Then Saturday 5 September, 3–8pm, we’ll honour Dolly the country way — with faith, family, country music and a whole lotta boot scootin’, praising & worshipping Jesus under the country sky. ✝️🎶

A little look behind the scenes at Swallowtail Community & Education Inc 💛

Every Monday, some of our team get together for our regular Monday meet-up.

Sometimes there’s work to be done, sometimes there’s planning, brainstorming and plenty of ideas being thrown around, and sometimes it’s simply a chance to sit together, catch up, have a chat and enjoy being part of a community.

Swallowtail is run by disabled people, for disabled people, and these meet-ups are just one small part of what that looks like.

Lately, a lot of our Mondays have been spent working behind the scenes on fundraising, upcoming events and ways we can continue building opportunities for our community.

One of the big things currently keeping us busy is planning our upcoming Seeds of Ability event on the 26th & 27th of September 🌱

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to bring events like this together, and these photos are a little glimpse into the people, conversations and work that help make it happen.

📣 COMMUNITY CALL OUT — QUALIFIED TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS NEEDED

Swallowtail Community & Education Inc is a local not-for-profit organisation, and we’re reaching out to our community for a little help with an upcoming event.

We are looking for 2 qualified traffic controllers who may be willing to volunteer their time on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September 2026.

We need assistance safely managing and directing vehicles in and around the carpark area throughout the event.

If you’re a qualified traffic controller and are able to donate some of your time, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. 💛

Are you creative, confident with social media and passionate about making a difference in your community?

Swallowtail Community & Education Inc is looking for an enthusiastic person who may be willing to volunteer their time and skills to help promote our upcoming Seeds of Ability – Growing Futures on the Farm event! 🌻

We are a Queensland registered not-for-profit incorporated association and charitable fundraising organisation, focused on creating meaningful opportunities for people living with disability through education, inclusion, community participation, employment pathways and greater independence.

💛 Seeds of Ability is more than a community event. It is about bringing people of all abilities together, celebrating what people CAN DO, breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for people living with disability to participate, connect and thrive.

We would love someone who can help with:

💜 One opportunity can change a life. 💜

Today was another incredible Monday at our Swallowtail Community & Education Inc workshops at the North Ipswich Scout Group

To some, this is just a photo.

To us, it’s a story of hope, friendship, confidence, and belonging.

These two amazing gentlemen have only met four times through our workshops. In that short time, they’ve gone from strangers to genuine friends who check in on each other, make phone calls, share laughs, and support one another.

On the right is Nathen. Before joining our workshops, social situations were overwhelming. Like many people living with disability, he had experienced rejection, isolation, and very few opportunities to connect with others. Taking that first step wasn’t easy.

Today, we see someone smiling, joining conversations, and feeling like he truly belongs.

On the left is Aaron, one of the kindest people you could ever meet. Aaron also wanted the same thing so many people living with disability want the chance to contribute, use his skills, and be part of something meaningful.

Without even realising it, Aaron has become a great friend and a source of confidence for Nathen. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone isn’t money it’s our time, kindness, and belief in them.

This is why Swallowtail Community & Education Inc exists.

We don’t just run workshops. We create opportunities for people living with disability to build confidence, learn new skills, make genuine friendships, and discover that they have so much to offer their community.

Every Monday, lives are changing.

Not because of a building.

Not because of equipment.

But because people choose to show up, support one another, and remind each other that they matter.

One photo captures a moment.

But moments like these can change a lifetime.

Together, we’re proving that inclusion isn’t just a word it’s something we live every single day. 🦋💜
