Join us to see the Victorian state viewing of Ascent a film about the Australian Tree Climbing Team.
If you’re not into the Tree Climbing scene you may not be aware that each year a handful of the best climbers in
Australia come together to compete nationally and internationally for the opportunity to be amongst the highest
ranking tree climbers in the world.
Ascent takes you behind the scenes of the 2025 competition year, following the team through the preparation,
pressure, setbacks, big moments and everything in between, all building towards the International Tree Climbing
Championship in Christchurch.
At the heart of the story is Barton Allen-Hall and his journey towards a fourth attempt at the World Championship — a
record-breaking feat if he can pull it off.
Seven climbers. One big year. And a journey that will resonate with anyone who has ever trained for something
bigger than themselves, pushed their body to its limits, or chased a goal that once seemed out of reach.
But Ascent is about more than competition climbing. It’s about the people, the friendships, the passion for the craft
and the community that makes tree climbing what it is. It also shines a light on the important work arborists do every
day, showcasing the skill, knowledge and dedication behind the profession.

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK AND GETYOUR SHIRT SIZE!

BAY PARK SCOUT CAMP, MOUNT MARTHA!
18th, 19th and 20th SEPTEMBER

The VTIO Women in arb event is fast approaching!

Bookings will remain open for a few more days, but we have to order the shirts tomorrow, so you have until tonight if you want to book your place and make sure you order a shirt that fits!

Thanks to Arboriculture Australia's financial support, limited funding is available to assist attendees who may otherwise be unable to attend due to travel costs. We recognise that travelling from regional and interstate locations can be expensive, and we don't want distance to be a barrier to participating in this fantastic event.
If travel expenses are creating financial difficulty and may prevent you from attending, you are encouraged to contact us directly to discuss making an application for travel assistance funding.

We want to ensure as many women as possible have the opportunity to attend, connect with others in the industry, develop their skills and be part of this unique weekend.

We look forward to seeing you there!
