We were so excited to hear that The State Government will donate $150,000 to The Advertiser Foundation Kids Appeal.

The Premier attended a party for KickStart kids at Archie Brothers on Tuesday, alongside News Corp Community Ambassador Penny Fowler and The Advertiser’s Editor Gemma Jones, where the Mr Malinauskas announced a government contribution of $150,000.

We are so grateful for this donation and know that this will help us improve the lives of children in South Australia and make a real difference.

Massive thank you to The State Government and Peter Malinauskas!

KickStart for Kids’ annual No Breakfast, Breakfast will return on Friday 20 November 2026 at the Amora Hotel Adelaide (formerly Hilton Hotel).

The morning is designed to raise awareness of what it feels like to start the day without such an essential meal as guests voluntarily skip breakfast for the morning – a sad reality that is faced by so many kids across the state.

Hosted by our wonderful ambassador Rebecca Morse, guests will also hear from our founder Ian Steel, alongside a line up of insightful speakers including those whose lives have been directly impacted by the organisation’s programs.

Tickets are available to purchase, with $70 for one adult or $650 for a table of 10, with all proceeds going towards breakfast items for our KickStart for Kids Breakfast Program.

Thanks to the team at BHP for participating in our Spread program yesterday. They came together to make sandwiches for our lunch program, which then were delivered to 60 southern suburbs schools this morning.

Every week we deliver around 10,000 sandwiches to over 300 schools across South Australia, and it’s efforts like these that help us continue to do what we do. It’s that simple! An hour out of your day to make a huge impact for vulnerable children in our state.

If you would like to take part in our Spread program, please visit our website and submit your interest 💚🧡
