AIVL recognises the harm done to our First Nations peers and allies and stands with our member organisations and First Nations communities 🖤💛❤️

At PBHR WA, we know that healing is something we must pursue together as a community. On this National Sorry Day, we hold space for the families and communities who have been and are still deeply affected by the policies of forced removal.

Harm reduction stems from the belief that every person deserves to be treated equitably and with dignity, and to live in connection with their culture and community. Listening deeply to the stories, experiences, and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people benefits us all in the ongoing work of truth-telling and the dismantling of systems and structures of oppression.

PBHR WA will always be allies in this work.

Today we acknowledge National Sorry Day and honour Stolen Generations survivors, their families and communities 🖤

Children were taken from their families and separated from culture, community and Country. The impacts of this are still felt today.

We recognise the importance of listening, truth-telling and supporting healing led by First Nations peoples and communities. We all have a role to play.

Difficult news from the Czech Republic!

The Czech government is reportedly dismissing National Drug Coordinator Pavel Bém and dismantling the country’s internationally respected evidence-based drug policy model in a move experts warn could shift policy toward a more punitive and ideological direction. According to advocates, international attention may still influence the final decision, which could reportedly be confirmed within days. Messages can be sent to Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš - Link in the comments!
