A big thank you to Channel 9 and Effie Zahos for highlighting how Saver Plus supports people to build financial confidence and save for education.

Saver Plus is a free 10-month financial education program that helps people develop lifelong savings habits. Participants who complete the program have their savings matched, dollar for dollar, up to $500, for education-related expenses for themselves or their children.

Saver Plus was developed by ANZ Australia and the Brotherhood of St. Laurence and is delivered in partnership with The Smith Family and Berry Street Yooralla. It is funded by ANZ and Department of Social Services.

Celebrating the first Saver Plus graduates in the Pacific.
Earlier this month in Suva, we proudly celebrated 60 incredible women who graduated from our Saver Plus program, an initiative that’s building financial confidence and resilience across the Pacific.

Established in Australia in 2003, in collaboration with ANZ Australia, Saver Plus has helped more than 60,000 people build lasting financial habits. We are incredibly proud that with the support of ANZ this proven and impactful program has been taken to the Pacific.

Over the past 10 months, the graduates committed to regular saving, attended financial education workshops, and set meaningful goals for their futures. Together, they saved over FJD $36,000, with ANZ matching nearly FJD $30,000.

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing partners: ANZ, UN Women, United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, the Markets for Change team, and most importantly, the graduates, for their commitment and courage.

We are proud to share that, following the success of this pilot, ANZ will continue to support the Saver Plus program in Fiji next year. Here’s to empowering more women, building stronger communities, and creating lasting impact.
