Australian Breastfeeding Association Plenty Valley region The ABA Plenty Valley region provides breastfeeding and parenting support for the North East suburbs of Melbourne. Come along and check us out!

The Australian Breastfeeding Association runs a free breastfeeding helpline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1800 686 268 (or 1800 mum 2mum), staffed by trained breastfeeding counsellors. The helpline is available to anyone in need of breastfeeding information or support, whether a member or not. We hold get-togethers almost weekly on topics relating to breastfeeding and parenting, inclu

💐 Celebrating National Mothering Week 💐

Motherhood is a journey — beautiful, challenging, and deeply personal. But no mother should walk it alone. This year, from 5 to 11 May 2025, we celebrate National Mothering Week. It is a time to honour the incredible village that uplifts Australian mothers at every stage of their parenting journey. For over 60 years, the Australian Breastfeeding Association has been by mothers' sides, offering friendship, evidence-based guidance, and unwavering support because when mothers thrive, families and communities do too.

The theme this year – A village of support: celebrating motherhood highlights how mothers have cherished the support they found by joining ABA local groups and the role ABA has played for mothers along their parenting journey; from making breastfeeding work, to supporting family life, extending to personal growth, and career advancement.

March is a busy month in Plenty Valley Region!

Come along for a cuppa and chat while your kids play at one of our Chat and Play sessions. Or join us for a connect and share session all about returning to work on the 18th. Or join us on Saturday 29th for a play in the Park at the Copper Butterfly Playground in Eltham.
