We’re here for the everyday Australians who are going without. At Foodbank we believe everyone should have access to good food. We work with 2,950 frontline charities and 2,890 school breakfast programs to get over 86 million meals out to those who could use a hand every year. You can help. Behind every statistic is a person, a family and a community doing it tough. We’re calling on government, corporate Australia, philanthropy and communities to step up and help ensure everyone has access to the food they need.

The data is in, and the message is clear: food insecurity has been entrenched.

The Foodbank Hunger Report 2026 is now live. This year, we found that one in three households—3.6 million homes across Australia—experienced food insecurity in the past 12 months.

This isn’t just about empty cupboards. It’s about parents skipping meals so their children can eat, renters choosing between groceries and medication, and families reducing energy use just to put food on the table.

Hunger is no longer a temporary consequence of economic disruption. And the burden falls disproportionately on those least able to absorb it: renters, low-income families, single parents, and First Nations communities.

The findings demand more than concern; they demand leadership and action. Food relief organisations cannot solve this crisis alone.

Over 13,000 meals for people experiencing food insecurity! 💜

The Great Dolmio Cook Off is back for its fifth year, bringing together volunteers from Mars, Incorporated, Sodexo Australia and Foodbank Australia to cook meals for individuals and families across the Central Coast.

Together, this incredible partnership has already helped deliver more than 38,000 meals to local communities since the event began.
While it's heartbreaking that so many Australians continue to experience food insecurity, we're proud to work alongside partners who are committed to making a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got involved. Together, we're helping more Australians access the food they need. 🫶

Zambrero’s annual Plate 4 Plate Day is BACK!

Today, Zambrero is doubling its meal donations for every regular/big burrito or bowl, Kids Zam meal or retail item purchased in-restaurant. That’s two meals for people in need with every eligible purchase.

We’re proud to be one of Zambrero’s charity partners, working together to help put food on the table for Australians doing it tough.
