At 5.40 am our “artist” sauntered across the road straight to our rear roller door where he shared their latest tag. After they finished our roller door, they went around to the front and tagged the building beside Wonderific, our neighbours.

Something exciting is happening at Holy Fools - and honestly, it's because of you.

Over the past months, you've been donating more regularly during the week, and we've heard your feedback loud and clear: Saturday afternoons at the ARC aren't always convenient. You listened to us when we asked for help. Now we're listening to you.

So, starting Saturday, 22nd August, we're making a change.

Felix House - our drop-in center at 19 Hutchinson Street, Lilydale - will be open on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm.

And here's what we want you to know: Saturday at Felix House isn't just for donations. It's for anyone who needs support. Anyone who needs a meal, a safe space, a conversation, or just somewhere to be. Because that's what this place has always been about.

What does this mean in practice?

• Felix House open Saturdays 11am–3pm (starting 22 August)
• Donations welcome - but so is everyone who walks through the door
• Felix House continues its regular weekday activities - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 10am–6pm
• The ARC remains our storage hub, program base, and Christmas Hamper HQ
• The ARC has served us beautifully, and it still will — just in a different way behind the scenes.

This change wouldn't have happened without donors who give generously throughout the week and take the time to tell us what works. That means more to us than we can say.

Come see us this Saturday. The kettle will be on.

What if you could enter a competition AND make someone's day brighter at the same time?

That's exactly what Kathie and Gilda have been doing — and we think it's one of the most creative acts of generosity we've seen.

They've been purchasing products like Tim Tams, Pringles, drinks, and other goodies that come with competition entries attached. But instead of keeping those treats for themselves, they donate every single item to the guests at Felix House.

It's a beautiful double act — entering competitions to win something, while also ensuring people who are doing it tough get to enjoy a little treat they otherwise might not have.

Our guests absolutely love it. There's something special about receiving something that someone specifically chose and bought for them. It's not just a donation — it's a thoughtful gesture that says "you matter."

Kathie and Gilda, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You've found a way to bring joy twice over, and our community is better for having people like you in it. ❤️

We celebrated Debbie Mcleod’s birthday yesterday at Felix House. Deb is our longest serving volunteer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

It was wonderful to acknowledge Deb and share a cake and flowers with her. We wish her the very best with her recovery.
