One of our core aims is “Adhering to a policy of non-violence, inclusiveness, and collaboration.”

That means treating others, even those who disagree with us, with respect. Our message is powerful when it comes from a place of compassion.

Every comment, conversation, and action is an opportunity to show the world that we stand for kindness, fairness, and justice for all beings.

Our movement is stronger when it reflects our values.

🎬 Veteran Australian journalist Tony Jones’ directorial debut SENTIENT explores the moral, emotional, and clinical complexities around animal testing.

🐒 A passionate primatologist, Dr Lisa Jones-Engel, a former animal tester turned animal welfare advocate, shares both archival and contemporary footage of her personal and professional career during, and after, working for the Laboratory for Experimental Medicine and Surgery in Primates. With her reflections, alongside the views from other frontline scientists, Jones investigates the secretive world of laboratory testing to explore the harm done to both the victims of animal trials, as well as the human practitioners.

Greyhound racing has ended in New Zealand.

Instead of finding caring homes for the dogs they supposedly love so much, they are continuing to force them into racing by sending them to Queensland on a 2,600km flight.

The industry has found a way to continue the cycle of exploitation.

The dogs deserve their freedom.

Help us ensure this industry is shut down in Queensland too 🛑📝 Petition link in comments

Dragged into the vet. Then found in the freezer.

Tarawi Minnie was one of 216 greyhounds killed in Queensland in 2024 after being deemed “unrehomable”. In New South Wales, Australia’s largest greyhound racing state, just 17 dogs were killed under the same classification.

It is a reality the greyhound racing industry would rather keep out of public view.

It's time to end greyhound racing. Sign the petition. (Link in comments.)

At Ingham on July 11, six-year-old 'Whatta Whitt' was in distress from the 900-metre mark.

The steward's report says surrounding riders "accommodated" him because they could see something was wrong.

Yet he remained in the race.

He crossed the finish line.

Then he collapsed and died.

If a horse is clearly in distress during a race, at what point does their welfare become more important than finishing?

Brisbane Times has reported the calls for Queensland to phase out greyhound racing, including for the $90 million tax-payer funded Queensland greyhound racing facility, The Q, to have a future beyond racing.

But this isn’t just about one racetrack.

It’s about an industry that continues to put greyhounds at risk, while Queenslanders are increasingly questioning whether racing has a place in our future.

New Zealand has now ended greyhound racing. Tasmania is moving towards a ban. And Queenslanders are speaking up too.

We need a plan to end greyhound racing, rehome the dogs, support industry workers into employment, and give racing venues a new life as public spaces.
