Australians for Cambodia is a group of Australian individuals and families who have been working voluntarily in Cambodia since 2003, and like you, are keen to create change through sharing and giving. giving. At AFC we emphatically agree that year after year we are privileged to experience the kindness, trust and energy of the children and families of Khmer Cambodia. It is humbling to spend time enveloped by exceptional human qualities a midst shocking, unnecessary poverty and inequality. Australian people possess many different resources, sharing a little of these can make quite extraordinary quick changes in the educational, vocational and business lives of Khmer Cambodians. After 14 years on-the-ground in Cambodia, AFC is now well honed in the identification of and strategic distribution of resources to projects. Pleasingly, we have also been there to see the end results and share with the Khmers in the joy of life changing resources such as education, child care, housing, mother-infant health, farming, clean water and business start-up. Sharing a little of our resources has empowered communities who are now self-sustaining and incredibly determined. We are a not for profit organisation, and we are proud of being able to operate money donations without making deductions.

Had a fabulously successful BBTM conference our annual fundraiser yesterday. Big thanks to Tracey and Christine, Sue and so many more including the who team at Benowa Children’s centre. We had approx 60 attendees awesome speakers who dontated their time. A fabulous “Welcome to Country by Uncle John Graham and chat about Protocol’s and Mark who created a fabulous beginning to our day with the Didgeridoo. We raised some great funds from our shop and resources sales and of course the conference itself. It will provide funds for AFC Marjory project and Frist Nation Literacy day on the 3rd Sept.

Our fundraising goes towards giving them the opportunity of a better future. Any and all donations towards our Australians for Cambodians charity are greatly appreciated.

Dear Jenny and Gary, how have you been there? Just good news one of Senior students from Marjorie Project got her first job at teacher of English at CAMP International School. I was very surprised and excited as being one of recruitment committees to see her outstanding and keen to become as a teacher and compete with other candidates,here some pictures and we will write story and to you by next week.
