A busy day for the club yesterday with two events on; the Perth Classic Car Show and the Pingelly Heritage Festival. I attended the Perth event- perfect weather and fantastic cars! Many thanks to City of Stirling, Shannon’s and the CMC for putting on a great day.

President’s Message

We have a busy couple of weekends planned and the committee will be in attendance this coming Sunday with registered members at 2 events.

Shannons are holding their postponed event Stirling Festival of Motoring at Robinson Reserve Tuart Hill. We have 8 to 10 members who have registered to display their classic BMW's. Also, on Sunday we have some members and committee members attending the Pingelly Heritage Festival event held at Pingelly Town Oval . Both events should be a fantastic day and spectators are more than welcome to wander around at both events. Feel free to stop by and have a chat with committee members and members with their cars on display. I’ll be at the Tuart Hill event!

Sunday 26th April we are holding a drive and luncheon at Summer Creek Restaurant & Brewery in Bakers Hill. This will be fantastic relaxing day to enjoy a drive and gather for a nice lunch and to catch up with other members to discuss all things BMW. Numbers are limited to this event, and members can register their attendance by going to the events page on our website and registering by opening up the event. Partners are welcome..

We are currently planning some other fantastic events (go carting, new member meet and greet, a social event with West Coast BMW among others!) so don't forget to check the web site and fakebook page to stay up to date on what is happening.

A highly successful event was held yesterday morning at the University of Western Australia for the monthly Classic Cars and Coffee gathering. Thirteen members showcased their meticulously polished vehicles, displaying a diverse range of models. The event benefited from perfect weather conditions, with around 60 other BMWs on display. It was excellent to reconnect with members and attendees who brought their cars, as well as those who came to socialize and explore. A massive thanks to Mike and Tony for their efforts in organizing the event and securing reserved parking for our members' vehicles.

Dear Club Members,

Just a friendly reminder if you are free on Sunday morning and looking at something to pass the time away why don't you come on down to UWA for Classic Cars & Coffee. We have approximately 14 members who will be displaying their classic BMW,s along with many other makes and models on display. Event runs from 8:30am to 10:30am and spectator entry is free.

To our valued new members this is a chance to catch up with some of the clubs committee members and other members to discuss all things BMW in a relaxed venue.

Hope to see you all there
Cheers

Hi All.
Kerry and I went to the 2025 New Years Eve Classic Cars and Coffee at UWA today and here are some of the more interesting BMWs.
There's a couple of, always interesting, V12 E31s (one parked next to some obscure Italian car);
what appears to be an E30 M3;
an e82 1M (which is in the BMW tradition of being a parts bin special that is greater than the sum of its parts).
And probably topping the interesting BMW level that we saw today is this pair of, I believe current, M3 Competition Tourings! And to top that off, one of them had its rear upper load access door open! I'm pretty certain that, in little old Perth WA, this particular overall occurrence may have not ever actually happened, even in Auto Classic's or Westcoast’s new car showrooms!
Kerry and I wish all Members and their families a safe and happy New Year.
Cheers
Robert Bowe

We had our our annual Show and Shine today at Stirling Gardens in historic Guildford. Perfect weather combined with a vibrant market and a display by the Jaguar Club meant plenty of things to look at!

The BMW Club display covered a variety of years and platforms, from the 1990’s with many wonderful M cars on show.

A great day!

Hi all. Here are overview photos of the Club's Member's Car display at the annual Como Rotary Car Carnival yesterday at the Wesley sports field in South Perth. Again, Club Members stepped up and we had nine BMWs on the Club stand which were an interesting mix of sedans, coupes and convertibles with BMW M represented by M2, M3 and M5. Unfortunately, the weather was quite ordinary such that the convertible tops went up early and stayed up.

Another successful Winter Burner curry night at Mother India in Fremantle was enjoyed by 19 club members last Saturday 5th July. Excellent curries from host Dharshani's kitchen and convivial conversation. Look forward to the next time!

Cheers Peter King
