Every Wednesday and Friday, we are extremely fortunate to run our larger weekly hampers from the Ellenbrook Bowls Club and so thankful for their huge support.

We are also incredibly thankful to be supported by SecondBite since we've been established.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy weekend, and a lovely Valentine’s Day tomorrow!

For the first time since it began, The Angels Mission held its Christmas event in a new way this year. One week ago, on Wednesday 17 December, the team gathered at the Ellenbrook Bowls Club to pack and distribute Christmas hampers to families across Ellenbrook and surrounding areas. 🎄

The Angels Mission was officially founded in 2020 as a family-led, community-driven initiative. However, its service to the community began well before that. Since just before 2016, those behind the mission had been actively volunteering through The Perth Movement, followed by time spent supporting Lorraine Oldridge Kitchen prior to its closure. These early years of service laid the foundation for what The Angels Mission has become today.

The organisation’s first Christmas hamper distribution took place in 2020 from a home-based operation and has continued each year since. As cost-of-living pressures increase and community needs grow, the demand for support remains significant. The day-to-day operations of The Angels Mission continue to be overseen by the founding members Aniwa Pine Pat ensuring continuity of care, values, and community connection.

The Angels Mission remains committed to supporting individuals and families who feel they have no refuge, providing essential everyday items and practical support through strong partnerships with local organisations and donors.

The organisation is deeply grateful for its dedicated volunteers, whose compassion, experience, and willingness to go the extra mile make a meaningful difference to everyone they support. This level of care and commitment is not taken for granted.

Unity across community organisations continues to be a core value. By working together and sharing resources, more effective and sustainable solutions can be achieved. The Angels Mission looks forward to continuing these collaborations into the future.

Sincere thanks are extended to SecondBite and Coles for their continued support in supplying fresh produce, including the convenience of home delivery, which has greatly assisted operations. Appreciation is also extended to Nando’s and Aldi for their ongoing generosity.

The Angels Mission thanks Clutterbugs for their incredible contribution to families across the community, providing essential items such as toiletries, clothing, and household goods.

Gratitude is also extended to Debbie Sanders Doyle from UON Pty Limited (Malaga) for generously donating Christmas gifts for children each year, and to Paula Kosovich for her thoughtful gift donations.

A special thank you to Tracy Cox from Samoyeds of Western Australia Rescue Inc for the annual donation of dog biscuits and cat treats, a gesture that is always warmly received.

Thanks are also extended to Mr Robbie from the Ellenbrook Lions Clubs for his continued support and for connecting additional volunteers to assist with the mission’s work.

Appreciation is given to Sparrow Early Learning for kindly donating pantry items to support the Christmas hampers.

A very special thank you to the Ellenbrook Bowls Club for generously providing the venue for the past two years to operate our food relief program, and also to allow us to host this year packing and distributing our Christmas hampers. Their support has been invaluable.

Thankyou also to Michelle Maynard MLA for your $10,000 election commitment toward us.

Last but not least, our angels workers Lisa, Suzanne, Maureen, Jackie, Nevenka, Ma Christine, Ma Janet, Ma Una, Kaylene, Kristen, Ellenbrook Bowls Club , Louise, Elena, Keryn, Doreen & Mr Robbie.

There are many individuals and organisations who contribute behind the scenes, and if anyone has been unintentionally missed, The Angels Mission extends its sincere gratitude for every act of kindness and support.

The Angels Mission is also pleased to share that another Team Angels is now operating in Bullsbrook, further expanding its community reach! We can't wait to share more on this growing journey.

Now, time for photos 📸

We’re so lucky to have one of the most generous, caring, and loving supporters in our community

A massive thank you to Debbie Sanders Doyle. Not only does she brighten up our Christmas events with beautiful gifts, but she also goes above and beyond by donating food items throughout the year for our Community Hampers.

Your kindness never goes unnoticed. Thank you for always standing with us and supporting what we do. You're truly appreciated!

🌸🩷 Thank You, Michelle!

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say a huge thank you to Michelle Maynard for Swan Hills for believing in what we do at Angels Mission.

Your commitment means the world to us, and your help in funding a trailer for our food relief work will make a real difference for so many families in need here in Ellenbrook and surrounds.

🩷🩵✨ANGELS MISSION GIVE JOY 2024✨️🩵🩷

We wrapped up an unforgettable Christmas Eve Give Joy Event from 5pm to 8pm, and it was nothing short of magical!

From the delicious free sausage sizzle to creative crafts, face painting, a wrapping station, gifting tables, lucky door draw hampers and, of course, the Lions train - it was so awesome to see the kids and families enjoy the festive spirit.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of our tireless volunteers, who poured their hearts into making this evening special. A huge shoutout to our amazing core team: Maureen, Nevenka, Suzanne, Lisa, Mel, Jackie, Elena, Keryn, Aalia and my incredible parents.

A special thank you also goes to the amazing volunteers who stepped up today to lend a hand: Pareaute, Jessica, Denise, Matt, Ruby, Michelle, Fatima, Tim, Hollie, Paul, Tyson, my Bestie Will, Dennis, and Mr. Robbie—you were all absolute stars!

This event and our food relief program for 2024 was proudly supported by Ellenbrook Bowls Club, Clutterbugs, Fingers & Forks Catering Perth, ION, Ellenbrook Arachnid Gym, Salvation Army Ellenbrook, Ellenbrook Pantry, SecondBite, Lions Club Ellenbrook, Ellenbrook Mile, Jessica Shaw MLA, Michelle Maynard for Swan Hills, Alnoor Arabic School, Samoyeds of Western Australia Rescue Inc and beautiful members of the community - Ash, Debbie Sanders Doyle, Tracy, Robyn, Steve, Marenda and Sher. I'd also like to thank my husband for his very generous support as well and always supporting our Christmas wishes for the community.

Together, we all felt privileged to give joy to our community and make this Christmas Eve one to remember. Thank you for being part of something so special.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas filled with love, joy, and cherished memories!!! 🎅❤️

🎄✨️ GIVE JOY FOR CHRISTMAS 2024 ✨️🎄

The day has come for us to host our Annual Christmas event for all our recipients of the Food and Relief program this year which has been strongly supported by SecondBite, Ellenbrook Bowls Club, Aldis, Nandos, Lions Club Ellenbrook, and Clutterbugs!

For the first time ever we have teamed up with the wonderful team at Ellenbrook Pantry and Salvation Army Ellenbrook to offer families allocated Christmas Hampers and gifts for children throughout our community.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to incredible members of the community who continually help us to offer special gifts to our members on our very own 'gifting tables' which is open to all, thankyou Debbie from you and your team at ION, Robyn from Ellenbrook Mile, Ash Hunt from Arachnid Gym, Jessica Shaw MLA, Michelle Maynard for Swan Hills and Robbie from Ellenbrook Lions.

If you'd like to come along as an individual or family who could benefit from this event, please see details in the The Angels Mission - Food & Emergency Relief (Ellenbrook) group as it is a private event.

Thank you and wishing everyone a joyous day this Christmas Eve.

Love,

🩷👏🏽 ANGELS AT WORK!

You might have noticed we have had a-lot of radio silence on our page as it's just not often that I get the time to post anything and all the focus is on delivering our food relief program through our group - The Angels Mission - Food & Emergency Relief (Ellenbrook) plus in all honestly, we've just been really hard at work.

Today we we're delighted to accept a very sweet invitation from Tracey at Sister Project to take part in a beautiful cultural exchange, learning how to make delicious Iraqi dishes and getting to enjoy them as well together! A very special thankyou to Zeinab for being the masterchef today and her wonderful assistant as well.

It was a lovely afternoon connecting and learning about our different backgrounds and cultures through food, language and traditional practices. Thankyou for the most warm, loving and friendly hospitality Tracey and your amazing team at Sister Project.

Grateful to be able to share this moment with our beautiful angels Nevenka, Suzanne, Lisa who volunteer their time every Wednesday and Fridays at the Ellenbrook Bowls Club alongside Elena, Mel, Jackie, Maureen, Keryn, Marian, Lisa and their families to provide our food relief program which is supported by SecondBite. It is also on these days we are able to offer clothing, baby items, bedding, toiletries and more thanks to the amazing support of Clutterbugs.

Thankful to also have my bestie Will join us today with Sister Project too after helping us out over the weekend with his brother Ben (they drove all the way from Harvey) to help raise funds in our sausage sizzle stall at the Ellenbrook Multicultural Community Festival, so that we can provide a free Christmas Joy Event on 24 December to our recipients that we are privileged to help and serve throughout the year. We made $900! Woo!

For those who don't know as well, we spread our food donations to a-lot of local support services in Ellenbrook, CaLD groups and also schools which keeps us very busy and we are completely volunteer run.

Truly, volunteers really make the world go round. Thankyou to our hardworking angels for making a huge difference in people's lives in the heart of Ellenbrook! We'd also like to give a warm shout-out to Ellenbrook Community Collective for all the amazing work they do as well 🩷👏🏽
