The ball left so many wonderful memories for all of us

Do you like musicals?
Groves Christian College puts on the best musicals ever !!
They are doing Beauty & The Beast
Weve seen a few of their musicals and let me tell you they are next level
Lovely Julie has helped us with mending for years and in turn i pass along material , damaged formal wear and things i think she can use that we cant .
Julie can see a piece of fabric and recreate it into a masterpiece
She's amazing!!
We cant wait to go and see what costumes shes come up with this year !
I dropped in one day and she was like 'this this this this is from your material '
So lets support this local school and grab some tickets
Its going to be such a fun night !!!

Last year I was nominated in a fabulous Black Pepper Kindness Award
Part of the prize was gift cards for myself
As I won the Queensland Kindest person & received a $500 giftcard
Then as I also won Australia's Kindest person I received a $1000 giftcard
Both gift cards were for me personally to be used at Black Pepper Clothing stores
I always knew id never spend $1500 on myself so before Xmas we purchased some beautiful dresses and gave them to some lucky individuals 🧡🧡

I still had a huge part of the Giftcards left but was waiting for when we needed something
Today beautiful Linde drove over to Black Pepper with the giftcards and picked up 14 beautiful warm dressing gowns , 2 more are being posted to me
Linde also picked up the dresses for me before xmas as I dont have time
Linde got them at a sale price today , So we got more then we first thought !
The staff at Black Pepper also sent home a box of chocolates for us

Anyways so we have 16 dressing gowns to give away to lucky individuals
Miss Jaylee is going to help me choose the lucky people later

Janina was also planning to get my hair & make up done for the event but due to severe allergies I don't wear make up and will do my own hair .
Was blown away by her kindness 🧡🧡

Let's talk deodorants, perfumes , aftershaves
Did you know we collect these ?
We collect them because its important
We have many families in where this kind of thing, that most of us have, is simply a luxury
When you have a choice between bread & milk or deodorants, deodorants become a luxury , so they aren't purchased
So my call out today is
Please go through your perfumes and aftershaves and if you don't use them wed love them
Also if you can afford a can or 2 of deodorant , wed absolutely love some
No young person should have to worry about this kind of thing or how they smell

You may think this is a small request but to those who see deodorants here and ask if they are allowed it ,definently don't see it as small

Ive seen their faces , these things make them so happy 🧡

Perfumes and aftershaves are not on many shopping lists but weve all got that item that someone got us for xmas that we don't want /like

I see so much joy in this photo
I remember bring up there for this ball and honestly the whole place was buzzing with happiness
The young people and many different organisations linked with PCYC Aurukun did up the place for a real night to remember.
Then the young people arrive escorting their parents , grandparents , uncles and aunties
It was such a beautiful night
So much pride, happiness as they danced and danced ! The young ones danced up a storm as the music played . I loved every second of it

The clothes we got up there were all donated from Formally Ever After Qld Inc. Village with love 🧡
To make sure they had the best time ever

One of my best memories 🧡

Norma , Steve , Leigh and all the team in Aurukun did amazing at making sure the ball was a success for 3 years in a row !!!
