🌏 New report highlights a tough truth:

Refugees in Australia continue to face major barriers to employment — not because they lack skills, but because they lack access to support networks and opportunities.

The report shows that social connections and employment support services play a crucial role in helping refugees find meaningful work. And while language can be a challenge, it should never be the barrier that stops someone from rebuilding their career.

Every newcomer brings talent, experience, and potential. What many need is simply a community that opens doors.

🤝 We’re here to help you connect, grow, and thrive.
If you’re a refugee or migrant looking for support, reach out — you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

📉 New research reveals a tough reality:

Almost half of refugees who were managers or professionals before fleeing their countries are still unable to work at the same level even 10 years after settling in Australia. Many end up in lower‑skilled jobs, not because they lack talent, but because their qualifications aren’t recognised and opportunities remain out of reach.

This experience — called occupational downgrade — affects confidence, financial stability, and the ability to rebuild a meaningful career.

Your skills matter. Your experience matters. Your story matters.

💬 Do you feel like this? How can we support you?

We’re here to walk with you toward employment, recognition, and hope. Reach out — we’d love to help.

📉 Did you know?

A new UNSW study shows that even after five years in Australia, many humanitarian migrants (refugees) still struggle to find work — not because of a lack of skills or language, but because employers often overlook their experience.

Many refugees arrive with strong qualifications, but face barriers proving their past work and education.
This research highlights an important truth: talent is not the issue — opportunity is.
