Well, that's Part 2, section A complete. Today we travelled from Victoria River Roadhouse to Darwin. All teams in BuddyGroup 14 made it to the startline under their own steam. Huge congrats to the team as a whole.

Gav today clicked over 10,000km since it left the Tenmill garage only 16 days ago. Aside from its ignition coil, which to be fair was the 30 year old original, all we had was a flat tyre which was 'driver error'.... It has survived the Gibb River Road, went swimming in the Barnett River and the Pentecost rivers, sampled every bloody corriguation along the way with a boot load of gear!

Next stop.... THE PUB!!!!

Wow, just wow. Gibb River Road (well 96% of it) in one day from Derby to Hone Valley Station, 14ish hours on the road with a quick stop into Manning Gorge for a swim in the river. That was a punishing trip for Gav the camry the corrugations were relentless, I'm actually impressed both it and all vehicles in Buddy Group 14 got through unscathed. Gold star guys! Left at the back of the pack got into camp 9th at 930pm, there were still teams rolling in past midnight. Well done ladies and gents!

Day 5 - Pardoo to Derby. Bit of a mundane day today with 670km on the black top, we managed a look in at Eighty mile Beach and made the side step into Broome to have a look around in there as well. Got into Derby quite late, can feel the 'Rally Blues' are getting to a few teams! Big day tomorrow, Gibb River Road..... I've loaded up on tennis balls, Gav now has 24 tennis balls in its rear strut towers 🤣

Day 4, Auski Roadhouse up to Pardoo. 550ish kms today, Some good dirt sections and some interesting sand traps along the way, stopping at a few places along the way to see the sights! Made it up to Pardoo just in time for last light.

Wicked day today! Mount Augustus to Auski Roadhouse. Bit of a mix up leaving camp had teams going one way whilst i had Buddy Group 14 going the other (the right way!) First into team into camp tonight 💪 awesome day, touch wood, Gavs going well!

Day 2, 400ish km"s on the dirt from Murchison to Mount Augustus today. Good drive with some beautiful outback dirt roads today. As shocking as it would appear Gav was faultless today getting us into camp early afternoon. Today was theme day 'Dress your Era' with some wacky dress ups on show!

Our buddy group made it with minimal dramas, Gav the Camry was the only car with issues but minimal ones that were solved quickly.

Well, after a stressful night ordering parts and checking a few bits and pieces Gav is back in action and made it to the start line!!! With a new distributor Next stop, Murchison tonight. 650km today let's do it! A huge thankyou to Robert Post for sourcing parts for us outside of business hours thankyou sir!

Today we gave the Camry a much needed service after it's trip across Australia in preparation for the rally. We even had some time to do some sightseeing and lunch in Fremantle.

Unfortunately the curse of this car continues, with the coilpack dying on the way to the rally briefing this afternoon, naturally in the middle of Perth's CBD! Luckily Roland Waters from AAAC Towing happen to be in traffic on the other side of the road and called out "Need a hand mate?" Sure enough after this legend went around the block he whisked Ole Gav out of the way where we could have a look at it away from the traffic! Huge thankyou from myself and Robert, you don't find folks like that too often anymore!

We should have a new coilpack by the morning and will be ready to head off to Murchison for day 1.
