Small Business Financial Counsellor Sharon Kingston joined The T@ble Capricorn Coast Business Community as they met for the June Catchup earlier this week. The session focussed on the relative theme - Sustainable Success: Self-Care, Boundaries & Resilience for Business Owners hosted by Marie Balzer from Green Fields Health & Performance.

Marie shared her knowledge and a resourceful handout guide on helping to identify issues and resources to assist with the mental health challenges that can culminate in burn-out if left unaddressed.

The Gold Coast Small Business Expo took place on Thursday 21 May as part of Queensland Small Business Month. Officially opened by Hon Steve Minnikin MP, Minister for Small and Family Business the event delivered tailored support, resources, and networking opportunities directly to small and family businesses, providing practical solutions and insights to support growth and success at every stage.

Small business owners in attendance heard from a wide range of experts on topics like leveraging opportunities for Brisbane 2032, AI in small business settings, business resilience and effective contract management - amongst others. Our very own Small Business Financial Counsellor Nicholas Hess delivered the ‘Mastering business fundamentals’ workshop, which focussed on essential financial concepts for small businesses, starting with a break-even analysis.
