Another week... another workshop!

I reckon working with groups is the best, I love it! AAAAAND it's incredibly challenging! The good news is (insert trumpets and confetti here), a great way to become even more betterer at facilitating/mentoring/teaching is to get some impro skills tucked up under your jumper sleevies.

But why Roland, would having fun and playing games help me be more betterer at working with groups you might ask... Well! Because impro can sharpen your already impressive ability to react to unexpected situations, to make magic with a co-facilitator, to work with the energy of a group (not in a woo-woo way!) PLUS give you heaps of sweet games to use with your groups!

So come and hang out at the South Golden Beach Community Centre Saturday 10th of Sep, have some fun with me and become even more rad-er at working with groups.

Hey Mullumbimby, The Crafty Adventurer is teaming up with Luminous Youth to run a weekend boys group for teenagers in the Mullum region. It's all about getting off screen, out into the bush and connecting with people, land and ourselves... plus we'll be playing with knives and fire (don't worry mum & dad... safety first!), learning some basic bush craft, how to stealth through the bush and in general have a lot of fun!

QUEST home-school program is coming to Tweed! Check out the term 2 QUEST program for 10+ yr olds with visits to world traveling musician Deya Dova, medicinal master Dr Jimi Wollumbin, A Tinker's Cuss black-smithy and the Horses Helping People program.
There's a few places left for those who are quick and inspired to give their young ones inspiration, adventures, and relationship-based life skills that you won't (currently) find anywhere else.

Boys of the Bush (aka BOB) is a boys group on Saturday mornings in Uki that a space for local boys in year 7 & 8 to get out into nature (off their screens!) and connect, explore, play & learn.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, so The Crafty Adventurer is stepping into the role of the 'uncle', providing a space where boys can connect to nature, new friends and themselves. Each week Crafty and the boys will head off into the bush to explore, play games, light fires, swap stories and create things with our hands.

The Crafty Adventurer is Roland Fraval, a local facilitator, youth worker & qualified Outdoor Leader that has been running boys groups in schools in our community on behalf of the Family Centre for the last few years.

Who: Boys in year 7-8 in high school
When: 9 - 11:30am Saturdays – STARTS MARCH 12TH
Where: The Eco Camp (Uki)
How much: $25 per session
