A powerful South African campaign highlighted that nearly four million schoolgirls are forced to use newspapers and other makeshift materials during their periods due to period poverty. The campaign's striking message reminded the public that while a newspaper can absorb blood, it cannot absorb the shame and inequality that period poverty creates

A big huge ✨THANK YOU✨
To the team at for their generous donation. This week we received over 300 pairs of period underwear! These items will be given to participants at our Menstrual Health workshops, reducing the financial burden for those impacted by the cost of living.

Those who menstruate shouldn’t have to choose between hygiene & comfort, and putting food in their bellies.

Let’s yarn about it, normalise conversations around women’s health, and reduce period poverty, one pair of un**es at a time 🖤💛❤️

Menstrual Health Day 2026 | Promoting Dignity, Knowledge & Confidence 💜

This Menstrual Health Day, we were honoured to support girls and women at Sajahanad Tailoring School in Kenya—a safe space that empowers survivors of gender-based violence through vocational training in tailoring, baking, and other life-changing skills.

In partnership with our incredible team at Reasons to Smile, we hosted an engaging and interactive menstrual health education session focused on:
✨ Menstrual hygiene management
✨ Busting common myths and misconceptions
✨ Open discussions that encouraged confidence, learning, and self-expression

We are proud to share that 36 girls and women received dignity kits, helping to promote menstrual dignity, confidence, and uninterrupted participation in their daily activities and training.

A heartfelt thank you to Imarisha Women with Disabilities for making the dignity kits, and to everyone who supported this initiative through our GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity made this impact possible.

Together, we are breaking stigma, restoring dignity, and ensuring that no girl or woman is held back because of her period.

Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual global awareness day held on the 28th May. It highlights the critical need for menstrual health education, accessible hygiene products, and safe sanitation facilities across the globe.

We'd like to take this time to say Thank you! Throughout our MHD campaign, we've raised almost $2,000 dollars! ✨WOW✨ Funds raised will directly support women & girls in Africa, that do not have access to safe, affordable menstrual products.

Our campaigns are still open! This Menstrual Hygiene day, donate just $12 and give the gift of dignity: https://www.gofundme.com/f/give-pads-change-lives-for-just-12

💛 A huge thank you to Gloria and Zawadi for returning to Migungani Girls School in Tanzania to carry out a valuable reflection session with students who received Chupis dignity kits in February.

Hearing directly from the girls about the effectiveness of the kits, the challenges they may still face, and the impact on their daily lives provides incredibly important feedback for our team. These reflections help us learn, improve, and ensure our programs continue to meet the real needs of girls and young women.

Thank you, Gloria and Zawadi, for listening, learning, and supporting girls with dignity 💛

⏳ Only 10 Days Until World Menstrual Health Day – and we still need your help 💛

We’re halfway to our fundraising target to provide Chupis Dignity Kits to girls and women facing period poverty in East Africa — but we still have a long way to go.

For many girls, a dignity kit means staying in school, feeling confident, and managing their period safely and with dignity.

Each kit includes reusable pads, liners, underwear, soap, and waterproof bags — simple items that can make a life-changing difference.

✨ Just $12 sponsors one dignity kit.

Please help us reach our goal before 28 May. Every donation, every share, and every act of kindness matters.

💛 Together we can turn dignity into action.

💛 Just One Month Until World Menstrual Health Day – 28 th May 💛. We just need a $12 donation!

In one month, Chupis will be supporting girls and women in Africa with dignity kits containing pads, underwear, soap, and essential items many of us take for granted.

For some girls, these kits mean staying in school, avoiding shame, and managing their period safely and with dignity.

We need your support to make this happen. Even a small donation can help change a life and give confidence, comfort, and opportunity.

Please help us make a difference this Menstrual Health Day. 💛
