Hey everyone did you know microbats are some of the unsung heroes of our ecosystems properties? These tiny insect-eating mammals can devour up to 40% of their body weight in bugs each night, helping to control pests like mosquitoes, moths, beetles and caterpillars.
But microbat populations are under pressure. Loss of tree hollows, fragmentation of native woodland, and lack of safe roosting sites all threaten their ability to survive and thrive.
Check out hoe you might be able to help them out

Attention conservation heroes: activate your bat signal for our Bats in Backyards citizen science project 🦇
Our insect-eating bat population is under threat and needs your help. Volunteers will receive a bat detector to record the ultrasonic calls of these important native pest controllers.
The data helps scientists track bat populations and shape Saving our Species conservation strategies that could save species from extinction.
