In April, the Townsville Youth Fest Committee had the incredible honour of hosting Townsville Youth Fest 2025 – and what a day it was!
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to extend a massive thank you to the Townsville community for showing up, celebrating, and supporting our young people in such a powerful way. This event would not have been possible without the collective effort and energy of our local services, community organisations, and the many hands behind the scenes who helped bring the vision to life.
A special shout out goes to the local artists, performers, and cultural groups who shared their talents and lit up the stage with pride, creativity, and connection. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who took time out of your day to support the event, whether it was to support with hosting a stall, setup up and pack up and our runners throughout the day. Your presence and passion made the event feel electric and grounded in culture, diversity, and unity.
We want to thank our local politicians who made an appearance throughout the event as well. Your presence and support shows our young people that they are valued and important.
We also want to recognise the incredible young entrepreneurs who stepped up, backed themselves, and proudly ran their own stalls throughout the day. Your courage, innovation and hustle is exactly what empowering our youth looks like. You reminded us all that when young people are given the space and support, they thrive — and they lead.
Youth Fest 2025 was more than an event — it was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together as a community to uplift, empower, and celebrate our young people.
We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, but we know this is just the beginning. The energy of Youth Fest continues to ripple through the city, and we can’t wait to see what our young people do next.
